Amazing opportunity to see wildlife up close

The breakfast was more than breakfast…. We were greeted by sea lions, owls, macaws, iguanas and of course Orangutans! They allowed us to get fairly close (no touching of course) and have animal questions answered! Highly recommend as a unique opportunity for adults and children alike… must not miss!!

BE WARNED! READ THE REVIEWS! This tour provider offered my hotel pickup from the drop down menu (confirmed) but last minute told me to go to ANOTHER hotel for pickup. Tour "guide" was not a guide at all! She only ESCORTED the group of seven to the restaurant passing 3 enclosures with comments and then dumped the group there and left. Questioned about this, SHE SAID..."What you want me to do? HOLD YOUR HAND?" THIS IS NOT A GUIDED TOUR! You get NOTHING from this tour operator. THERE IS NO TOUR AT THE ZOO! YOU ARE LEFT ON YOUR OWN!! Everything RUSHED because of whatever changes they decide to make at THEIR DESCRETION and LAST MINUTE! WHICH takes priority over the guests AND the booking description! NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY for the lack of transparancy or comminication details which say what this tour offers! They blame EVERYTHING on the "interns" at the office. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY YOURE OUT OF LUCK!! The breakfast with (just looking at) Orangutangs is a JOKE! Plus $45 extra. AVOID A HUGE HEADACHE AND A STRESSFUL DAY. DONT DO IT!! READ THE REVIEWS! THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT!!

This review is not about the zoo itself which was wonderful. The tour however was poor. We paid for collection (which after payment were informed where we stayed was outside their collection zone) so we got ourselves to the Oo independently. We wanted to have breakfast with the orangutans but all the ins and outs of this were not made clear. To achieve the breakfast event one has to purchase a $45 buffet separately, which is fine but on top of the tour was starting to add up. The tour guide although tour guide spoke English he was not clear English and he walked very quickly. My friend and I have some mobility issues and could not keep up. We abandoned the guide and did it our way! Honestly, we recommend not taking the tour to visit the zoo. Get yourself there, buy the entry ticket and the buffet breakfast event which was well worth it and take your time. 😁

Had the best time! Our guide was so knowledgeable about the animals and the zoo in general! I learned a ton I wouldn’t have been able to on my own! He was super personable and also explained all the other things we could do in the area. He really made the trip worth it!
