Cathedral Cove Walk
Cathedral Cove is an iconic 'must-see' site on the Coromandel coast. The best way to explore this breathtaking coastline is by boat. We'll take you close to capture the beauty of this archway upclose from the yacht. We do not go ashore.
Mercury Bay
The best place to sail in New Zealand. Kick back on our spacious catamaran and soak up the scenery as we sail by rugged islands, remote coastline, and stunning beaches, including the spectacular Cathedral Cove.

Don't let age or inexperience stop you from booking this trip. From the moment you are picked up in Flaxmill Bay you are looked after. I am in my early 60s. Had never been sailing before. No issues getting on and off board. A wonderful hot proper coffee, chances to take the helm, beautiful scenery to see, historical info was shared and we were offered a chance to swim at Cathedral Cove. Safety procedures were top notch. A very relaxing experience on super comfy bean bags...there's even a toilet on board. I would recommend to everyone. Thankyou Mat and Rebecca for an awesome morning.

Really good experience with super friendly staffs in Matt and Rebecca. We travelled with a 5-year old and Matt was doing his best to make him feel comfortable during the time. There were blankets, hot tea and some light meal provided. The boat looks well maintained, clean and spacious. It is a well planned experience and a must try for people visiting the area.

What a great experience! The crew was fantastic and let us steer the catamaran and learn about sailing. The views are stunning. They even had bean bag chairs on board so that we could all enjoy a total zen experience on the water. Highly recommend.

First time trying a sailboat and it was an amazing experience. Our sailboat operator Ingrid and Sam is amazing, professional and friendly. They keep us entertained and well taken care of throughout the whole journey. They brought us out for some amazing and chill ride in the sailboat and everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end. Cathedral cove is beautiful. The coffee that Ingrid make is awesome! Some refreshment is provided. Love the bean bag to chill and enjoy the ride. Definitely would reccomend this 3.5hr experience to see Cathedral Cove. Love the morning sail as im not a fan of too hot or too sunny weather.

Boom Sailing Coromandel provided truly memorable experience during our New Zealand holiday. Matt and Ingrid were awesome. We really enjoyed the snorkeling, bean bags, blankets and onboard banana bread and coffee - nice touches to our already amazing morning. Seeing Cathedral Cove on the catamaran is an experience I’ll remember for a long time. If you’re traveling to Coromandel, this is a must do experience.

We had an absolutely fabulous time On the catamaran! From the ridiculously comfortable, beanbags and blankets if you get chilly, to the breathtaking views our time aboard was absolutely perfect! Hosts Matt, and Ingrid, do a fabulous job of striking just the right balance between interesting tidbits of information, and peace and quiet and allowing you to take it all in. Throw in the juice, coffee, and delicious, baked treats… And we never wanted to leave! Sidenote… If you're offered the chance to take a dip… Absolutely do it! Little bit brisk… OK… A LOT brisk… But tons of fish to see and super refreshing! :-) if you have a long sleeved swim shirt for cold temps it's a big plus! Thanks Matt, and Ingrid for a fabulous morning on the water!
