The most adventurous and probably the most romantic way to discover Bruges is by hot-air balloon. Bruges Ballooning organizes both a morning flight (including a champagne breakfast) and an evening flight (including a bite to eat, champagne or a beer) over Bruges. The whole trip lasts for three hours, with at least one hour in the air. You will be picked up and dropped off wherever you are staying, in Bruges.
What is there to see?
After take-off, we'll immediately see the historic center of Bruges, followed by the famous polder landscapes, farms, a lot of castles, little pictoresque towns like Damme and Oostkerke, ...
Every flight brings us a little adventure, because thanks to the wind, no 2 flights are the same.

5.00Wow, what an experience you will never forget! The balloon ride is a beautiful trip across Bruges in the most acceptable transportation, A hot air balloon, of course! Accompanied by your fantastic balloon pilot Christophe, the tour takes you through Bruges' scenic, romantic time from a birds-ey view with incredible sights flying over neo-gothic architecture and the countryside. The whole ride takes about one and a half hours - 2 hours, including pick up and drop off since landing locations vary. It is totally worth it and very safe if that is your concern, although keep some space between your travel itinerary since the weather is unexpected and the balloon ride could be re-scheduled. I checked this off the bucket list and would totally go back and do it all over again, thank you so much, Christophe and Dries!! If you ever do visit Bruges, this is a must have on your travel plans.

5.00An experience in Bruges with the Bruges ballooning ! A wonderful day to explore Bruges from above. A 2-3 hour 3 trip with pick-up and drop-off at the b&b and enjoy the whole way! And I am afraid of hights.. but no second I had this feeling! Unbelievable and would do it again! Thanks so much to Christophe and Dries! We will recommend it to all our guests!

5.00We took a flight on evening in September during our stay in Bruges . An amazing experience. The visability was outstanding, we could see for miles and to see the historic town from a balloon was incredible. We spent two weeks on tour in Europe and the balloon was one of the 'stand out " memories. I would recommend it to everyone.

5.00Whilst on my first solo trip in Belgium I thought I would book a hot air balloon ride whilst in Bruges and I do not regret that decision. I was picked up and dropped off in the centre of Bruges by Christophe and taken to where we would take off from. The group of us helped get the balloon ready before going on our flight and it was amazing taking part in the process, even helping pack the balloon away at the end. During the flight we got commentary about what we could see and any questions were answered and it was relaxing. Once back on the ground we had champagne and a waffle whilst chatting to everyone which was lovely. As a solo traveller it was fascinating chatting to everyone and definitely added to the whole experience. I would definitely do it again if I'm ever back in Bruges.

5.00Just back from a long weekend break in Bruges and the highlight of our trip was our morning hot air balloon flight with Christophe. Fabulous experience!! Such a lovely calm way to view Bruges and surrounding countryside. Christophe explained everything and pointed out places of interest, all in a witty way. Helping to set up and pack up afterwards added to the experience. The delicious pastries (thanks to Dirk in the support van) and champagne were really appreciated. Highly recommend Christophe and his team.
