Selvan was very good, he knew his plants and helped me down the wet snd slippy foot path in coral forest, which if you are older you need to be agile as the mossy forest was closed. You need good foot wear.

There must be so much more than this in the area. Started at a tea plantation where all we did was queue for 20 mins to get a cup of local brew and frozen cake in a canteen. No tour, no explanation, just hundreds of (mostly local) tourists taking a weekend break. We could have got the same in town for less. Then to a strawberry farm - another tourist trap where you could either buy a punnet of strawberries for RM10 or spend RM40 picking them yourself. The highlight was supposed to be a walk in the mossy forest which unfortunately was closed (we were informed in advance) so we did another short walk instead, up and down a very muddy hill. Our guide and driver, Mr Bob, was mostly incoherent, unhelpful and provided very little information. One to avoid.

Ben was a very nice guide and gave us lots of interesting information about tea and nature. It would be better if the tour starts earlier, as it is made by many providers and there are correspondingly many more tourists. We wouldn't have needed the strawberry farm personally. But the stops at the tea plantation and at the strawberry farm are of course also used to purchase/sell products.

Tamil has been such a funny and caring guide all along the tour. He repeatedly ask, if everyone in the back of the Landrover is doing alright! We felt very safe going up and down the beautiful mountains! Definitely recommend booking this tour!
