Guides are excellent, we only saw one manatee but it was everything we wanted out of the experience. She was pregnant and friendly, she rubbed up against each of us, the guides make sure everyone gets a chance to be right up close to her. What a beautiful, gentle animal, so thankful for this experience.

I was excited to show my husband Crystal River but this tour did not take place in Crystal River, it took place in Kings Bay. Not as stated in the tour description. As the previous reviewer said, it would have been nice to be warned before the cancellation timeframe that this tour would take place in a completely different environment than the one advertised. Evidently the manatee had left the river and were now on the bay. The water was murky with very poor visibility and we chased 2 manatees around the Bay until returning back to the dock in what was an anticlimactic excursion-$145 dollars later… The captain (and swimmer) Alex, however were very friendly and professional and did the best they could with the situation! Not a reflection on them. Management if the manatees have left Crystal River for the season please let your customers know what to expect so they aren’t disappointed.

This was one of the most memorable trip we took. It was excellent going with the manatees and finding and being able to swim with them. My wife was so happy to be able to do this for her bucket list. Neil was so patient making sure that everyone was able to see the manatees up close. Our captain Monty was excellent knew exactly where to go all the time. This will be a memory that we have for the rest of our life and we thank you for all your great work that you do.

While we fully understood the Manatees were exiting the Springs around this time of year, we would have liked to have known 48 hrs in advance of the tour, before the full refund cancellation timeframe, that our tour was going to be in the Bay, and not at the springs. A whole different experience than what is advertised. Murky bay water, 2 ft visibility in front of your eyes, and a choppy boat ride. I completely understand this is what it takes to get a glimpse of a manatee this time of year, after they exit the springs, but would have appreciated a heads up of what to expect (that we were going to the bay!). We would have rescheduled for next Dec or Jan in the actual springs with clear beautiful water. Also, the Captain Alex and Neil were having, what felt like a power struggle. At one point, after Alex was talking crap about someone or something for a while, I heard Neil, very professionally and kindly say, “we can talk about that later, right now my priority is getting these folks on a Manatee” which I very much appreciated. He wasn’t entertaining the drama. Alex seemed cocky and was off putting on several occasions. He dismissed Neil’s biology experience and best interest in the participant / customer. I was not impressed my Alex’s arrogance, but was thoroughly impressed by Neil’s presentation, professional manners, respect for all participants in the group despite challenging visibility situations. He took great care of us, tried his best to help us see Manatees, but most importantly, showed care and respect for the Manatees in their natural habitat. I would gladly go back, in the springs, with Neil if he is with this company, any day of the year. A true asset to the company.

We took the 10AM tour with Guide Storm and Capt Ryan since it was March 11th the migratory manatees had departed. Our guide and capt had us out early and had equipment to find the manatees. The first stop was murky but incredibly cool to swim with the manatees and have them swim right under us. Storm kept track of the manatees and each group stayed away from each other. The 2nd stop was unplanned but there was a mom and juvenile in clearer water again swam with them and they went right under us this time you could see their entire bodies just magnificent creatures. So glad we didn't go during the crazy crowded time. Our guide and captain worked really hard for us.

Our guide Zac made the trip fun. With visibility limited underwater, we didn’t actually see the manatee except when Zac would point out it rising to take a breath. That was cool. Otherwise you’re having an enjoyable time snorkeling but not really seeing anything. He did say the best time to see them is in January or February.

We had a great time! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Our guide was Ian. He was awesome. Funny and knowledgeable. He made it a priority (after safeguarding the manatees) to make sure everyone got a good view of the manatee. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

there were 11 swimmers and 2 guides on this tour, which was good but just too crowded for when you want to swim with or be near manatees; felt a bit like assembly line/mass production tour; guides and boat driver friendly & competent; but we prefer small tour groups;
