What To Expect
The trip will start at midnight, and your guide will arrive exactly where you want to be picked up. You can rest in the car on the way to the Bromo area. After arriving in the village of Mount Bromo area, you will continue the journey in a 4WD Off-Road Jeep, going through a bumpy road to get to the sunrise point.
Mount Bromo
We'll use a Jeep (4 WD) to continue the trip so we can appreciate the rough route that circles the hilly region. Next, we will head to Mt. Penanjakan, the best place to enjoy the sunrise view of Bromo. We then went down the hill and passed through the vast stretching sea of sand created by the eruption of Mount Bromo. The trip will take around 30 minutes to reach the summit. You can see Mt. Semeru, the highest mountain on Java Island, as well as the caldera, the Mt. Batok mountains, and the still-active Bromo crater from the peak's rim. After descending from Bromo crater, you are required to make your way to a Hindu temple named Pura Luhur Poten, which is a remnant of one of the Indonesian kingdoms. Then, you can enjoy a traditional Indonesian breakfast at a local restaurant and head to Subaya or Malang.

5.00This was such an unforgettable trip, i would recommend to anyone!! Mount Bromo was incredible. This trip included everything we needed! Our amazing guide Alhan and Driver Yanto. A Jeep ride to the volcano, breakfast both days and very nice accommodation. unfortunately I wasn’t very well so wasn’t able to go up Ijen but I’d like to thank Alhan and our driver Yanto, they were so accommodating! And even though I was unwell I loved the trip, it was so well organised. Alhan made it very special and gave us so much information about everything.

5.00We had a lovely private tour with our guide Nadal! We went during rainy season in Nov and the initial sunrise view was foggy. But the tour includes multiple scenic stops, the sky cleared up afterwards and we enjoyed an amazing view of mount bromo. We especially appreciated Nadal for making the tour so fun! He would crack jokes with us, share stories and information, and make us feel comfortable. Most importantly he is an AMAZING photographer and videographer!! He took so many nice videos of us (which isnt shared in this post for privacy). We booked another private tour with Nadal the next day - Tumpak Semu waterfall tour. Even raced us up the hill at the end of the tour which left us cackling! 10/10 experience with Nadal!! (Personally i prefered Mount Bromo tour to Tumpak sewu- but wld still recommend visiting both for variety if you have the time)

5.00My husband and I went on the tour from Surabaya with our guide, Nadal. We had an amazing time all day with Nadal! This was a private tour so he essentially chauffeured us around all the sites at our own pace which was super nice. The trip was very well organized and all the arrangements/drivers & everything arrived on time. Overall, this tour, along with our guide, was more than a worthwhile experience and we’re extremely happy we booked this specific one for the price point. The day is rather lengthy so be prepared with proper attire and get a few hours sleep (or more) before pickup at midnight. 10/10 would do again!

5.00The sunrise was spectacular! The colorful jeeps that everyone took to move around at Mt Bromo was a unique experience . The 2km walk to the crater was worth it. That’s the highlight for me. It was beautiful! Our guide Arfi took good care of us. He always stayed close to us ensuring we are alright. He’s knowledgeable and took great photos and videos for us. He even helped my friend to carry her haversack when she was tired. I will definitely come back here again

5.00We had a wonderful sunrise, crater walk, and the view at the waterfall was amazing. Our guide Nadal arranged everything well to make the trip very enjoyable, and helped us took many nice pictures. A definitely recommended experience!

5.00We had great fun! Our tour guide Sasha was really enthousiastic and she helped us a lot with everything we needed. Furthermore, her English was on such a high level that we were able to speak with her for the whole trip. And she was the perfect photographer for us, haha. Our two drivers did very well also. They didn't rush too much (as the other drivers did) and always gave us a feeling of complete safety. We don't have anything to complain, really. In the end we had a nice view of the rising sun and the Bromo with a very clear sky. It was just the perfect experience!

5.00Dark and cold morning with temperature at 9°C in early September at King King Hill. Sipping hot coffee and some snacks at a nearly coffee shop while waiting for sunrise with our tour guide Arfi from Landscape Bromo Tour. When it was about time, a 5 mins walk to the view point. Then the first light appeared, we were overwhelmed by the magical view of Mt Bromo.

5.00We had a brilliant time at Bromo - such stunning views and a beautiful sunrise. We did the crater first to avoid the crowds and then the panoramic viewpoint after, I would really recommend doing it this way! The walk up to the crater isn’t bad at all and we got up to the top very quick. Fery and Tirto were great and took excellent care of us during the trip.
