Get close and personal with Sicily’s most famous volcano on this six-hour, small-group tour. Set off from Taormina — hotel pickups and drop-offs in the vicinity are included upon request — and arrive at Mount Etna, where you’ll spend the day walking through craters, exploring a lava cave, and learning about the volcano’s past eruptions at max. 2000 meters of altitude. Afterwards, you will be provided with a snack, complemented by wine, a little dessert and a sweet wine taste.

Excellent tour - a great way to experience Etna. The hike is not too strenuous even in 30degree heat. Etna tour guide ensures it is taken at a pace that suits you. Our guide Emanuel was very professional, friendly, humorous, he was very knowledgeable about Etna and the history. The views are breathtaking. Afterwards you get to enjoy a nice savoury snack and a glass of wine from the local Etna vineyard. Everything from pick up to drop off was easy and pleasurable - a great tour I would highly recommend. Thankyou Emanuel for a great experience!!

Such an enjoyable tour, picked up in near to our hotel in a smart aircon minibus for a small group tour (7 of us) by the fabulous Tony, a Sicilian passionate about Big Mamma (Etna) and everything related to her and her history. His knowledge is immense and he made the tour both special and unique and we were also lucky to have a lovely group of people on our tour. We stopped at a friendly organic vineyard as base camp for coffee and water before the assent to Zone B where we hiked and enjoyed hearing about the unique fauna and flora or Etna as well as the volcanic historic activity and the recent (02/06/25) activity. Next we went to an underground tunnel and wells, before returning to the vineyard to try a delicious Orange wine with focaccia rolls and a desert wine with sesame biscuits in the shade looking across the vineyards to the magestic Big Mamma. Etna People are a very professional tour company where safety is paramount, and we felt should anything at all happen that Tony was more than capable of managing it and looking after us (nothing did by the way).

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with our guide Tony from Etna People. Tony knew everything there was to know about the volcano itself (he lives very close to it!) and also the flora and fauna that is unique to the Etna area. You couldn’t wish for a more highly qualified guide and he made the whole morning enjoyable as well as educational. Thank you Tony! The lunch at the winery was ok, more a snack, but it was nice to have the opportunity to try, and buy, some local wine. I would highly recommend this easy walking tour. Three days after our walk Etna erupted so excited to be in Sicily to experience that!
