A real bike experience to discover the Nature Reserve of Monte Pellegrino cycling along the tracks of the mountain on our brand-new e-MTBs. The ascent will take place along the "old roads" used by pilgrims and devotees on the Feast of the Patron Saint of the city of Palermo.
You will appreciate the history of the Mountain and visit the sacred cave (formerly, the place of worship of the Phoenician goddess Tanith,nowadays embedded in the Sanctuary dedicated to Santa Rosalia). We will continue visiting the plateau, where the II WW' s anti-aircraft batteries were positioned and that, nowadays, offers a breath-taking panoramic view on the coast and the Gulf of Palermo; we will later proceed along the off-road tracks at the top of the mountain designed for MTBs enthusiasts. A stop will be planned to let you refresh and taste local street food specialties of the city. At the end of the excursion, we will reach the city cycling on the panoramic paved road and admiring stunning views.

5.00My husband and I are fit seniors who truly enjoyed the entire experience with Sergio. It was just the three of us and we did both the rout to the Grotto, and an off-road trail for amazing views. It was a truly memorable experience - the views, the architecture, and the journey. So worthwhile. Sergio is a riot and made the trip entertaining and educational.

5.00Trip was fabulous, explanation of the original cobblestone road was explained by our fabulous guide. Taking you up the mountain, the views, historical sites of Sicily and so much more. We highly recommend this bike (e-bike ) experience. “The cobbler stone path was constructed in order to lead the faithful to the Sanctuary of Saint Rosalia. Legend has it that Saint Rosalia was the only one of the patron saints who answered the prayers of the citizens of Palermo in the time of their greatest need.” Google explanation. Side note: if you thwart to pedal up the mountain, consider taking the paces part, if taking the original cobble road (legend /story explained above) consider an e-bike (still lots of pedaling)

5.00Sergio was a fantastic guide and historian! Going up the cobblestone road on the well oiled eMTB was something I will always remember. The history of Rosalia and visiting the grotto were icing on the cake. The views were incredible and Sergio’s narration during the trip was so informative. Definitely a trip worth experiencing, enjoying the fresh air, incredible views and a lot of history.

5.00E-biking to the top of Monte Pelligrino was such an exhilarating experience. The soft wind in our faces, the upward motion of the mountain and the outstanding view of the city, ocean and creation was fantastic. Our guide, Sergio, was so informed and protective. It’s an experience you will never forget. Definitely recommend this if you are in Palermo.

5.00This was by far the best excursion my husband and I have taken. The biking was fun the best way to climb Mount Pellegrino. Sergio was knowledgeable and you could feel his love for Sicily in the history of the area he shared. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!
