We had a great day, the excursion was well organized, providing lots of time to do all of the activities at the mountain. The time in Lucerne is very short, so if you want to eat and sight see you’ll be hard pressed to do both.

I thought I was spending half of the day Lucerne and half of the tour at Mount Ted Lewis. It was an hour in Lucerne, which is acquaint little town. I would’ve liked to spent much more time that felt very rushed. And a lot of time on the bus and getting up to Mount Tedworth. Be prepared. It was very cold. In the day we went. It was raining and so overcast. you couldn’t see the wires on the cable car nor could you see the snow outside on the mountain. Walking across the bridge you couldn’t see anything. It is a chance that you take. I wish it would’ve been advertised that 50% of the time it’s like that.

This tour was very disappointing. First of all, the entire top of the mountain was under construction, so we were constantly held back by workers so they could drive their equipment on the walkways. This means that it took much longer to navigate, and we were on a tight schedule. Also, due to the construction, the lights were out in the glacier cave, so it was closed for the day. Combine that with no tubing available, and that adds up to half of the activities being unavailable. I feel like the tour company should have let us know about the construction (which has been going on for months and will continue well into next year) so that we could have the option to visit a different mountain. Our guide was also quite rude. 5 minutes into the 90 minute bus ride she told the whole bus (which was fairly quiet) to shut up, because our conversations were interfering with her ability to conduct the tour. It was a 50 seater bus, so obviously there was going to be some conversation. Also, on the drive back for some reason the heat turned on (it was 30 degrees Celsius outside, in July) and the driver took WAY too long to figure out how to shut it off, like at least 20 minutes. All of our souvenir chocolate melted. We messaged the tour operator to express our disappointment but we're basically told "too bad, so sad". No customer service at all.

It was a fantastic experience my family & I will never forget. Our tour guide Monica was great & very informative. It’s definitely a must do on your list. But be prepared for temperature changes. A good idea to wear a thermal. Definitely bring an umbrella, sunglasses, warm water proof jackets, mittens, beanie. Wear water proof good traction shoes/boots. If you don’t have it, you can rent there.
