Great scenery but tour guide fell flat

3.00To be clear, the views and experience were 5 stars. However, I can only give 3 stars because of the guide. Although knowledgeable, he did essentially no talking. On our 45 minute train ride, he sat in silence rather than giving a narrative about the country and scenery. We initiated a conversation multiple times with questions, the responses were short and he seemed to have no desire to expand on the topic. For a private tour at this cost point, I would have expected a much better tour guide. We went in several tours on our trip to Switzerland, both private and group, and he stood out an unfortunate negative outlier compared to the rest.

2.00Sunday excursion. Ridiculously crowded. Spent all our time waiting in lines. Also bridge walk was closed, which was our main interest in going. Ice cave was a huge disappointment. Totally not worth the money we spent. But our guide was very good.

5.00The majestic Mount Titlis offered scintillating views of the Alps. Lucern to Titlis was a pleasant train journey and up the hill was the Cable car and Rotair ride. With skiers down below in the ice, it was a mesmerizing experience.
