Visit the summit of Mt Titlis on an afternoon tour from Lucerne, where spectacular mountain vistas and a range of snow-themed attractions await. After arriving in Engelberg, ride on the aerial cableway to the summit of Mt Titlis for roughly two hours of free time. Entry to acclaimed glacier attractions such as the rotating Titlis Rotair gondola, Titlis Glacier Park, Ice Flyer chairlift, Glacier Cave and Cliff Walk — Europe’s highest suspension bridge — are all included (weather permitting).

**From June 2026: Due to the construction of the new Titlis tower and mountain station, visits to the summit will be limited to approximately one hour to enjoy the available activities (weather permitting) before descending to the Trübsee middle station, where restaurant facilities will be available.**

The Ski Experience option is not recommended for travelers with back problems or pregnant travelers

What To Expect
Lucerne
Board your coach in central Lucerne and travel south to Engelberg, a glorious alpine village tucked in the shadows of Mt Titlis.
Titlis
Upon arrival, hop aboard the aerial cableway with your guide, and then ride to the glacier’s summit — some 10,000 feet (3,020 meters) above sea level. Take a ride with the revolving cable car "Rotair" and enjoy the spectacular sights of the glacier's deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders.

5.00The ski experience is very elementary but fun nonetheless. We still had time to do the cliff walk and glacier cave as well. Bjorn was an awesome guide. Incredible views and the bridge isn’t as scary as it looks! It’s amazing!

4.00All the family had a wonderful day - the views were spectacular! Tour guides were excellent - informative and helpful. Only slight criticism is that we didn't have enough time to actually enjoy the experience as 1.5-2 hours were spent queueing for cable cars. Wished we'd had more time to enjoy all the facilities - felt quite rushed.

5.00This experience was AMAZING. Our guides were Andrea and Lars and both were outstanding. Both were fluent in both English and Spanish and as we rode our way from Lucerne to Mt. Titlis Andrea gave a bunch of facts and interesting things about the landscape as we passed it. The price was well worth the experience and very reasonable. My sister and brother-in-law did the same experience on their own finding their own way from Lucerne to the mountain and up the gondola and it was only about $25 less than what we paid for the coach to pick us up and take us directly. The coach apparently started in Zurich and stopped in Lucerene for 1 hour (while the passengers from Zurich explored the city) then added the passengers in Lucerne to head up to the base camp of the mountain. It was about a 45 minute drive from Lucerne to the based camp. There were about 4 stops on the gondolas themselves which allowed for different views along the way. At the very top of the mountain there was a chocolate shop, souvenir shop, restaurant (which was closed when we went), a suspension bridge, a ski chair lift one could take just for the views, and the glacier caves. The gondola to get to the summit rotates 360 degrees so you get a full view and great pictures if you are near the window which was incredible. The 2nd stop from the top has a restaurant and more beautiful views. We stopped here and grabbed a beer and whiskey to watch others come down the gondola and to just admire the view. The 3rd stop from the top has a snow park experience where we were able to borrow some sleds and go sledding down a hill. This was super fun. There is also a conveyer belt lift so you don’t have to climb back up the hill after sledding down which was so much fun to ride. We went down 3 times and then our guide who was watching let us know it was time to head back to the coaches. Overall we got about 3 hours to do all the activities which I felt was a fair amount of time. The sun was setting anyway by the time we were leaving and the activities were shutting down anyway as there were no lights to illuminate the mountain. The guides were super friendly and super informative. We had a great time.

5.00Incredible experience. The tour guides were very nice and helpful (we had Andrea and Lars). We got lucky with a beautiful day so the views were stunning. The cliff walk, the ice flyer, the glacier cave, the rotair, and of course sledding were all so fun! 10/10 would recommend.
