Visit the summit of Mt Titlis on an afternoon tour from Lucerne, where spectacular mountain vistas and a range of snow-themed attractions await. After arriving in Engelberg, ride on the aerial cableway to the summit of Mt Titlis for roughly two hours of free time. Entry to acclaimed glacier attractions such as the rotating Titlis Rotair gondola, Titlis Glacier Park, Ice Flyer chairlift, Glacier Cave and Cliff Walk — Europe’s highest suspension bridge — are all included (weather permitting).

Ski Experience option: designed for ski first-timers only (no access to other slopes, no experience required, no skiing lesson)

(*) Routing and means of transport may have to be amended during maintenance and construction work
**From June 2026: Due to the construction of the new Titlis tower and mountain station, visits to the summit will be limited to approximately one hour to enjoy the available activities (weather permitting) before descending to the Trübsee middle station, where restaurant facilities will be available.**
Optional visit of observation deck “TITLIS Horizon”. Cost: CHF 18.00 adult / CHF 9.00 child (to be paid on spot in cash or by credit card)
The Ski Experience option is not recommended for travelers with back problems or pregnant travelers

What To Expect
Lucerne
Board your coach in central Lucerne and travel south to Engelberg, a glorious alpine village tucked in the shadows of Mt Titlis.
Titlis
Upon arrival, hop aboard the aerial cableway with your guide, and then ride to the glacier’s summit — some 10,000 feet (3,020 meters) above sea level. Take a ride with the revolving cable car "Rotair" and enjoy the spectacular sights of the glacier's deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders.

5.00Very nice. Of course we cant control weather and it was whiteout co editions on top. However the cable car rides were nice and the restaurant/bar on top was nice. We enjoyed walking through the glacier caves

5.00The tour guides are so informative and kind! I had a scare that I left my bag near the parking lot and they stayed until we finally saw my bag. Everything worked well even the weather. The driving skills of our driver is superb even with the steep roads to Engelberg!

4.00The cliff walk and Ice flyer was fun and exciting. The queue/ stand to take funicular, cable car and gondola was bad experiences - no seat and bathroom (with no entry sign) for the almost 1 hour wait. It will not be easy for senior visitors. As for the tour operator, I suggest a more prominent signboard to be displayed or request the tour guide to bring along a flag. We have problem to search for the correct tour group at the meeting point. After coming down from Mount Titlis, we have difficulty in looking for our bus at the parking areas too (there were more than 20 buses waiting for their guests). Our tour guide cannot be seen anywhere (later we learnt that she was stuck at Mt Titlis) ! We were fearful of being left out at foreign land !

The trip to Mt. Titlis was amazing, and even with the current construction, it was still so worth the trip. I’ve never seen anything like it! 5.00Titlis was one of the four mountain journeys we did on our recent trip to Lucerne. Jean/Kusnudum (spelling?) were our guides. They did a good job herding all of us between the journey up/down. All of the components (Cliff Walk, the Glacier Cave, and the Ice Flyer as well as the gondola itself) are amazing; but they are sequential. If you want to do the Ice Flyer, you need to brave the Cliff Walk (which is a lot easier when people aren't swaying the bridge). I'm glad I packed extra Xanax for my acrophobia...
