The English Lake District is one of the most recent additions to UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Admire the rolling countryside and craggy fells whilst listen to your guide about the Lake District's history, geology and the people that have shaped this much-loved region.
Along the way, you will pass some of the region’s most spectacular sights, such as the Borrowdale Valley, Buttermere, Honister pass, and Grasmere. There are many stops on route; a highlight is the Castlerigg Stone Circle with its panoramic views. Our friendly driver/guide will provide an on-board commentary on this full day spectacular tour of lakes and mountains.

Please note, the tour starts from Windermere Information Centre @ 9.25am. It is not possible to be collected from a different location once chosen. If you are not at the correct pick up location and miss the tour, we cannot offer alternative arrangements.
Due to a landslide, Kirkstone pass is currently unpassable. Therefore until further notice you will not visit Brotherswater or Ullswater on your tour. Our incredible driver guides will instead take you off the beaten track to a few other fabulous Lake District sites and lakes.

5.00An absolutely wonderful day. Our tour guide and driver extraordinaire, Tony, was amazing. Incredible driving skills on high narrow roads! Provided just enough commentary to provide information without over doing it and distracting from the amazing scenery. Perfect weather. Stunning scenery. A fabulous day with a fabulous host. Will provide life long memories.

2.00I chose this tour because it was cheap. What a mistake! We quickly realised that it was the wrong choice because the tour ws done by a pre-recorded app with a patronising voice. It was dull and then boring and then irritating. Worse of all we were stuck with it all day!! Looking back, I wish I had booked the more expensive tour with another company because they have smaller buses and lovely drivers and guides who are full of knowledge and talk to you and answer all our quedtions (went on 2 tours with them earlier in week). My advice is spend a bit more and get a better experience.

Bad experience not told AI does talking

1.00When I booked this tour, nobody said that the commentary would be AI generated and that the drivers don't talk and drive anymore. The AI was very confusing and said in a monotone which we all found boring. It became tedious after a while as we lost track of where we were and it didn't make any sense. This was not what I thought I was booking - I expected the driver to give us a commentary but they were not allowed to talk or answer any questions. Feel that I was conned into this as nobody said anything about the AI or the drivers. It doesn't say anything about it in the text for the tour either so it is all a bit sneaky. Would not recommend or do again despite the driver being really nice off the bus. The AI really spoiled the whole experience for us.

5.00Tour was fantastic! Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Just a shame that tour guides can no longer talk while driving, so any questions you'll have to save for the many stops. We visited 10 lakes and some fantastic viewing points! Plenty of photo opportunities.
