What To Expect

Lukomir

Lukomir is a picturesque village nestled high in the Bosnian mountains, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and a glimpse into traditional Bosnian rural life. This tour is mainly focused on visiting this beautiful mountain village. Before reaching Lukomir, you will come to the village of Umoljani, which is a few kilometers away from Lukomir. From Umoljani, we continue on a dirt road to Lukomir, where we are greeted with a stunning view of the mountains on both sides. In Lukomir, there are many small restaurants run by local residents who serve homemade and freshly prepared food. There is also a small local mosque, numerous houses, ins and plenty of places to capture unforgettable pictures. Nearby, there is a mountain trail that you can walk, which we can visit or skip depending on your preferences.

Great trip despite the weather! Helpful organisation staff, who were very responsive to all our queries, and friendly tour guide/driver who told us a lot about Bosnia, Sarajevo and Lukomir on the way. Mostly off-road, so I would definitely recommend going on an organised tour rather than taking your car, unless you have a 4x4

Excellent service provided by Sulejman at Spirit Tours. We booked the day before the tour, which was quite last minute but was kindly accommodated. We got picked up on time at the location specified and had the perfect tour of Lukomir Village. Sulejman is a very friendly guy and very knowledgeable. Had the perfect time in the village, which I would highly recommend. Thank you Sulejman and Spirit Tours for a memorable trip - cannot wait to come back again.
