5.00We had a great driver/guide, Joseph. Even though it was a long day, it was extremely enjoyable. We were well fed, and with plenty of rest stops. I am so glad we decided to do this tour. It was so informative, and Joseph was entertaining. The views were jaw dropping. Plenty of photos were taken. We did the Hooker Valley track at Mt. Cook. Loved it, but it being a Sunday, I suppose, it was crowded. But that didn't take away from the magnificent views. Highly recommend this tour.

4.00It is a long drive from Christchurch, but the scenery is gorgeous and the driver informative. Mt Cook was misted over which seems to be usual and we were not willing to hike in the rain. But we found the visitor center interesting and the hotel beautiful.

5.00Mt Cook is far away from Christchurch, so we spent majority of the time driving there and back. On board there were WiFi, AC, and we could charge our phones. Our guide was Will, he was awesome. He was very accommodating, kept everything on time so we had no delays and could experience everything that was included in the tour. He was also giving interesting facts. We had plenty of bathroom breaks and could eat lunch on board. The tour included stops at the lakes Tekapo (twice), Pukaki. The final destination was the Hooker Valley at Mt Cook. From there we could choose from 3 options. I chose the hike through the Hooker Valley. It is a 10 km hike. Unfortunately I could not finish the hike but the valley is beautiful, so I still could enjoy the hike and made plenty photos of the Mt Cook and the valley. We had 3 hours to spend at the Mt Cook. The ride in the van was relaxing.

3.00This is a long day with some interesting stops. However, the limited time at the final stop means it is probably impossible to walk far enough to get a good view of the mountain. The driver/guide we would only rate as average.
