5.00Mt. Cook weather was socked in (apparently common). We were offered to do the nearby Twizel experience instead. It was remarkable, not only could we see the Milky Way with our bare eyes, but we happened to hit on a night when the Auroro Australis was in full glory, amazing pictures. The guide was excellent, teaching us a lot about the stars unique to southern hemisphere.

5.00This was well worth doing. Our guide did an exceptional job describing the night sky. We could see the Milky Way, satellites zooming by and two galaxies with the naked eye. With the telescope we saw incredible images of planets, stars and galaxies. Our guide was so patient and excited to share his knowledge with the group. Thank you for making this a memorable experience!
