Tour operator was very friendly and helpful. I took the opportunity to instead of going back to Tokyo, I caught the bullet train to Osaka.

This trip was the worst! The trip is labeled Mt Fuji 5th station and we got no where near the fifth station. Should have just been advertised as a trip to Lawson near Fuji. The guide was horrible. Had my family searching in a building going up and down an elevator looking for the van and when we got back to the meeting place the van was there. We could’ve missed the trip. We were heavily pressured to purchase items at the restaurant and opted for a no meal option and were pressured to sit and eat. The food was not very good at all! Totally not worth the price we were forced to pay. I would’ve preferred to eat at Lawson. Then we headed to Hakone but never saw any lakes near Fuji as advertised. The driver was driving very very very fast and the ride was bumpy and scary. I was then told I had to pay to enter a pirate ship and I showed my receipt that indicated the pirate trip was admission included. The guide was yelling at me and arguing with me in front of everyone. I asked why do I have to pay if I already paid and showed her my receipt. She refused to acknowledged any wrongdoing on the paperwork she had and insisted we repurchase tickets. We did. Then she led us onto the boat and sat us in the bottom and back of the boat. We were not told we could walk around and go to the top. By the time we did every inch of the place was full with people and no where to stand. The pirate ship we had to pay twice for was horrible because we really couldn’t see anything. After that the guide took us to the train station and gave us a tkt for the train and left. I would expect some customer service, guide us to which direction we need to go, nothing. She was the worst! I would not recommend this trip. As advised by the guide once I got to my room I submitted a refund. I was told it was approved but the tour company did not approve it. She was the one that said to submit the report for a refund in the first place! I don’t recommend this trip. Save your money or go with a different company.

Setsu our driver and tour guide was the nicest guide ever. He really helped me out when we got lost trying to find the meeting spot and went out of his way to call and physically go to my location to find us. The museum was wonderful, don’t forget to check out the 2nd floor for the majestic viewpoint. My mom missed out on it but she still thought the museum was the best part. Food options were fine and the bullet train was great. My one gripe however would be the Hakone experience. We went on a crowded sunny Saturday so it was packed with tourists. With our time given, we literally only spent 5 min up on the mountain, and spent 30 min in line to go up, and another 30 min in line to go down. No time for anything but quick photos and bathroom. Therefore we also missed the boat ride.. so just something to keep in mind. Maybe opt for a weekday and not during a peak season.

We had a wonderful time with KUN leading us. He explained well and gave us the highlights of each stop. It was also a relaxing tour and we did not feel rushed.

We enjoyed our day trip to Mr Fuji, Lake Ashi cruise and Hakone valley. It’s a shame the Hakone ropeway was closed due to strong winds. It would have been nice to see the Hakone valley view in the gondola ride. We’re still about to get the refund for it. Maybe next time the weather will be kind to us. Laila, our tour guide is amazing and very nice. She made sure everyone is accounted in every stops. The bullet train back to Shinjuku sums up the day tour experience.

1. Tour groups need to update their tours based on the season. 2. Learned after we paid $115.00 per person the tour was not going as advertised due to the season. You can not go to the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji in March. It doesn't open until the end of April. 3. We were dropped off at the Mt. Fuji Observation area.....only told what time to meet back to the van. Given no guidance that the 2nd level of the observation area provided views of Mt. Fuji. Attendees were left to figure it all out in a short window. Could have also provided other opportunities to see Mt. Fuji as well due to the deviation. 4. Ate lunch at 10:30 AM and were rushed out of the restaurant by its employees who hover over you while you eat because they want to clear the table for the next tour groups. 5. Took the pirate boat on Lake Ashi....was given the ticket by our guide and said go downstairs on the boat. Thats it. We all figured he was coming with us....nope. Learned we were bought a 1 way ticket and he had us walk 1 mile back to meet him at a location we should have gotten off but didn't have the correct ticket to do so. He was lounging in his seat at a 7-11 1 mile away waiting for us rather than meet us somewhere once we walked the mile. None of us in our group were happy! 6. Still on tour and have no idea how it's going to end....tour guide does not speak English well, can't drive, etc. I have never written a review like this but felt compelled to let others know when looking to go to Mt. Fuji with this company. I hope you have a guide who can provide a better experience than ours.

The restaurant we went to was a very pleasant surprise. Try and book if you know there is a clear day so you can see Mt Fuji

Joe, our driver and guide, was wonderful. He clearly explained directions for each stop and was always there waiting when we arrived. He drove very smoothly, which I really appreciated since I’m prone to motion sickness and the road to Hakone is quite winding. Overall, it was a great tour and a great experience. It was also very kid-friendly.

It was fun and sight seeing. It was interesting going on the cable car and seeing the black egg. Even though it snowed while on the event.
