This activity is suitable even for beginners as our English-speaking guide will kindly explain how to paddle.
*This is NOT rental, we will guide you and take you to the most beautiful places on the lake
The tour flow is as follows:
1) Before start time - Come to reception (fill in the agreement form)
2)Approx. 15 minutes - Guide will explain how to paddle and the potential dangers for Kayaking Activity
3)Approx. 15 mins -Practice paddling
4)1.5 hour - Kayaking tour
Total 2 hour tour includes equipment, bottled water per person, and picture-taking by our guide.
*We start kayaking on time, so please come earlier for preparation.

What To Expect
Enjoy the peaceful beauty of Mt Fuji from Lake Kawaguchiko during this kayaking tour. The lake and surroundings are ever changing with the seasons, as is the mystical and moody Mt. Fuji. Some days, you might see a sea of clouds, soft mist on the water, or birds like swans and cormorants. Our friendly English speaking guide will share stories about Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji. We enjoy helping travelers make the most of their time in Japan. Great for First Timers No experience needed. We will guide you step by step and take photos to help you remember this part of your trip. Easy to Reach Our shop is near many hotels and just a 15 minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station. How to Get to Kawaguchiko from Tokyo Take a train from Shinjuku to Otsuki, then transfer to the Fujikyu Line or Take a direct limited express train from Shinjuku or Take an express bus from Shinjuku Need help with directions? 5.00Amazing morning kayaking on the lake under the sun. We even paddled all the way to a small island with a shrine only accessible by the shore. Unforgettable experience and great guide!

5.00Graham was a super friendly guide who was very informative about Mt Fuji and surrounds. We were so lucky that Mt Fuji showed the summit for just a few minutes in the midst of some rainy weather and Graham was adept at taking some great shots ! Definitely a worthwhile experience.

5.00We had a great time with Guillaume. Although Mt Fuji wasn’t visible that day, the view of the lake was still beautiful. Guillaume was also a great guide. He’s very knowledgable about the area and he gave us a lot of great recommendations for our time in Japan. Guillaume is also a great teacher. I’ve only been kayaking once before and was terrible at it but after some instructions from Guillaume, I think I did very well. We had a great morning kayaking across the lake and I recommend that anyone who’s in Kawaguchiko do it.

5.00We had a blast kayaking with our family of 5. Our guide, Grahame, was excellent. He talked about the history of the lake and area and gave insights into Japanese culture and traditions- all while paddling us around! The kayaking was not strenuous and made for a fun, relaxing excursion.

5.00Our guide was Guillaume, a French tour guide with unbelievable English and 10 years of experience in Japan. Our Kayaking trip was my sister, myself and Guillaume and it was perfect, we done light kayaking filled with lots of great chats as we floated around the middle of the lake allowing the slow waves of boats passing to move us around, followed by a leisurely paddle back to shore, heavily recommend this for abled people with a family or partner!

5.00We had an amazing experience with NaturaBase and our guide, Guillaume. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the entire kayak tour. Not only did he share a lot of interesting information during the experience, but he also recommended several great attractions and places to visit around the area. The tour itself was beautiful, peaceful, and very well organized. Guillaume also kindly shared photos from the tour afterward, which was a really thoughtful touch. If you are visiting the area, this is definitely a must-try experience. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely do it again!
