Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. The location offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in combination with the pagoda. The spot is particularly popular among photographers as it allows for some wonderfully stereotypical shots of Japan.

Wonderful tour of Mt. Fuji area. Uta was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave great suggestions and options for the day. In addition to the park with a great view, we enjoyed an ice cave, boat ride and shrine. Excellent lunch stop as well. We were fortunate to have clear skies and great views of Mt. Fuji.

Thoroughly recommend the Mt Fuji private day tour. Our driver Koda did an excellent job tailoring the sightseeing stops to the things we were interested in and taking us to a japanese restaurant stop for an excellent lunch. Apart from Mt Fuji the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is an absolute must see.

We had a wonderful day and would definitely recommend this trip! The van was clean, had plenty of space for our family of 7 people, and the air conditioning felt great on a hot July day! The driver, Bob, arrived on time, and was very polite and accommodating. We went to all of the places that we wanted to see, and had a fun time as a family! We were able to take some beautiful pictures of Mt. Fuji! Very much worth the money spent!
