Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. The location offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in combination with the pagoda. The spot is particularly popular among photographers as it allows for some wonderfully stereotypical shots of Japan.

5.00Had a fantastic day with Jonny, our driver and guide! He suggested a couple of places which suited us and we got amazing pics of Mt Fuji. We were very lucky with the weather as well. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00Our family of 4 had a wonderful day trip to Mt Fuji with Asi. We visited Narusawa Ice Cave, Saiko Iyashi Sato Nemba, Oishi Park, the Mt Fuji Ropeway near Lake Kawaguchi and Chureito Pagoda. We were lucky to have a beautiful clear day, and it wasn't overly busy with crowds. Asi was an excellent driver/guide who was very flexible with the sites we wanted to visit and provided additional recommendations. The place he suggested for lunch was also great. Asi took us to eaxh site, showed us where and how to purchase tickets, provided some history and information of the site, and then we had time to roam around and explore ourselves, with Asi waiting for us back at the car, ready to take us to the next stop. There are so many different tours available to Mt Fuji which can be overwhelming. This private tour with Asi is a must. 10/10. Would definitely recommend this tour.

1.00Had booked Mt Fuji tours with two travel providers because we were a large group of 12 people. The weather prediction showed it was going to rain most of the day (and it did). The other travel provider promptly informed we can’t see Mt Fuji that day and was ready to refund the full money or offer a date that would work for us. This provider was not ready to refund and said they will make their van/driver available knowing it would be a wasted tour. It was up to us to decide whether we still wanted the tour. All this when their cancellation policy clearly states that we need ‘favorable weather’ for this tour. They offered me a date which was after I was going to leave Japan. After a lot of follow up with Viator and the vendor etc they were ready to refund 50%. After more follow ups with this provider (note: they did not call me once and insisted to only text/chat!) they gave me another 25%. They are just after money! Viator wasn’t exactly helpful when I told them about the cancellation policy because of weather. They said it is up to the vendor to approve the refund.
Just book it. 100% worth it.

5.00Riki, our tour guide was amazing from start to finish. He did a customized itinerary for us which turned out even better than the one on their Viator listing. Mt. Fuji was a memorable sight along with other world heritage sites we went. He was courteous, patient and not your typical tour guide who goes by the book. Easy to talk to and made our trip fun the whole day. If youre looking for a tour, this is it. Worth every cent and your time is what they follow along with every single thing you want to do. Not rushed. Just pure fun and “take your time” approach. Highly recommend!

5.00Our tour guide John was amazing! We thought we had a great plan mapped out but he asked what our goals were and recommended the best spots. He not only recommended the places but when to go to avoid the long lines. We were able to see mt Fuji and the cherry blossoms, which we weren’t expecting to see. Got a lot of amazing photos! Everyone in our group enjoyed the tour, especially how friendly and informative John was. 10/10 recommend!

5.00I highly recommend this tour! John was an amazing guide on our trip to the areas around Mt. Fuji. You can tell he’s been doing this a long time and had all the best insider tips. He was very informative and so friendly. I was able to customize the tour to everything my family and I wanted to see. We gave John the locations we wanted to go to and he was able to find us the best routes and the best times to visit. Our waits were minimal and we got some of the best pictures. We revised our locations a bit so that we could see the cherry blossoms on John’s recommendation. We thought we were too late to see them. We understand we were lucky enough to get great views of Mt. Fuji, but honestly we would have enjoyed everything without the view. I would definitely rebook this the next time I’m in Japan.

4.00We had an amazing Mt. Fuji trip thanks to Asi! He was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the entire journey. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Asi also took fantastic photos for us, which made the experience even more special. He explained everything clearly and shared interesting insights along the way, making the trip both fun and informative. Highly recommend Asi if you’re planning a Mt. 5.00Its doesnt matter where you go, its always the tour guide that will mae the experiance memorable and thats what our tour guide Mr. Utah gave us. The weather was bad but Utah had a way of making sure we enjoyed it by showing us locations best fit for the weather. He was very friendly, helpful, kind and energetic. Hope to to have any tour with Mr. Utah again.
