Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. The location offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in combination with the pagoda. The spot is particularly popular among photographers as it allows for some wonderfully stereotypical shots of Japan.

3.00This tour really depends a lot on the weather and traffic conditions. Unfortunately, we had a major highway closure and bad weather that affected our day. If conditions are not optimum, you may not get the experience you hoped for. Our driver, Uta, did take us to an interesting area where there was a craftmakers village, and we also had a nice lunch based on his recommendation. We also learned a lot about the surrounding area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. My suggestion would be that you have specific plans set with your driver to optimize the time you have set for your tour so it doesn’t get away from you.

5.00Our driver Asi was wonderful. He was calm efficient and showed us the secret spots for pictures. The day was gorgeous and sunny so we made the most of the weather. He drove us to many lovely spots and took us to a great restaurant for lunch. Thanks so Asi for such a wonderful day!!

5.00Riki was our driver and guide, He is excellent driver and show us everything we asked for. He arranged our lunch, which was very delicious. We come back very satisfied and happy about our day trip to see Mt. Fuji and surrounded attractions. If we will come back to Tokyo we definitely will book the other day trip with him.
Not as advertised don’t spend the extra money.

3.00The driver was awesome however the trip was not as advertised. We specifically paid for a luxury vehicle Mercedes or Lexus. The driver showed up in a Nissan mini van, not a luxury vehicle. When asked the driver what the tour stops were he told us that I should have gotten an email with the stops. Then he asked where we wanted to go. We went onto see the shrine and Fuji, amazing. After we went to a lake where the driver was held by the police for nearly an hour. The police told me that the driver was not a registered tour guide and that the driver could drive us but was not qualified to do the job he was doing. They later let us go and we finished the tour. Again we enjoyed the drivers personality but this was not the trip that was advertised.
