Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. The location offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in combination with the pagoda. The spot is particularly popular among photographers as it allows for some wonderfully stereotypical shots of Japan.

Caffrey our driver was very accommodating. We were able to not only change the original schedule, but we were also able to change our drop off spot. Carrey was able to take us to all the spots we needed to be able to see Mt Fuji and has access to cameras that show the best locations possible for seeing Mt Fuji.

Really enjoyed the sight seeing and had lookman as our driver. He is very kind and very patient. Good to do it with our own pace.

Our tour guide and driver, Koda showed us a great day in search of Mt. Fuji behind the clouds. Koda-san took us to a lot of spots as Fuji-San was hidden behind layers of clouds: Oshino Hakkai Lake Kawaguchi Motorboat ride on Lake Kawaguchi was our teens' favorite part of our Japan trip Feeding the fishes after the Motorboat ride Yamanakako lake Lawson's Instagram iconic shot, but Fuji-San was shy Arakura Fuji Sengan shrine of 400+ steps to the observatory of Fuji-san We weren't able to make the ropeway & Gotemba outlets as the above locations were a lot to endure already. The itinerary was customizable with Koda. Thank you, Koda-san for a great day with Fuji-san! Hopefully we will see Fuji-san on our next trip back!

The driver was professional. From Tokyo going to Mount Fuji is 2 1/2 hours one way. You should ask the driver to go to the mountain top.
