Your guide will greet you at your hotel or residence, before whisking you away to Mt. Pilatus.
Pilatus Luzern
In Lucerne, your guide will escort you to the Pilatus Bahn and begin your ascent to Mt. Pilatus. We'll make a little stop at Fraukmuntegg, where you will admire the beginning of the Swiss Alps and the cantons that formed the Swiss Confederation in 1291. Then, you will board the iconic “dragon ride” aerial cable car, where we will float in a giant glass cabin. The windowed walls provide 360 views of the Lucerne region, and many compare it to the experience of flying. Enjoy an ever-changing perspective of the Alpine landscape as historic Lucerne pulls back into focus as we approach the end of the line. The ride is a highlight of any trip to Mt. Pilatus.

5.00We were lucky with both the weather and our tour guide—Mary was fantastic! I rated the value a 4 because of the expense, but everything in Switzerland is pricey. You could do everything we did without a guide for less, but you’d miss out on so much great information. Mary answered all our many questions and got us from point A to B to C with ease. On Mt. Pilatus, I had an unfortunate run-in with a heavy glass door and ended up with nasty gashes on both sides of my middle finger—ouch! Tip: don’t try to catch a closing door. Mary went above and beyond to take care of me, grabbing bandages and antiseptic spray and turning into my personal nurse. Loved the whole tour—thanks, Mary!

5.00The tour was fantastic and our guide, Erika, was a dream. The day was cloudy, cold and raining but that didn’t dampen the experience. Be sure to do check directly with the touring company. Viator gave us the wrong meeting place.

1.00This vendor is terrible. Did not do what he sold. Paid for 6 hours got 3 hours and refused to refund. It was $1200 tour. Viator was of no help. Not worth booking through their service.
