Mutianyu is one of the most picturesque wall sections. It has been fully restored, so you are able to get a great idea how it looked in ancient times. The surrounding countryside is also famous for its fragrant pines and cypress trees.

What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
MuBus is a shuttle service to the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area, offering two daily departures at 8:00am and 10:00am. By taking the MuBus, you can benefit from no-reservation entry and no-fee shuttle tickets within the scenic area. You will have 4-5 hours ample time to tour the Great Wall. Additionally, the Mubus Tourist Center will offer you complimentary rest areas, tea, snacks, and luggage storage, ensuring a high-quality travel experience.

5.00The tour was awesome! We had the pleasure of meeting Mike our tour guide. He speaks amazing english and gives really good explanation for the Great Wall history. He even gave us advice for our future trips. Great time with Mike and fulfilling one of our dreams. The park was empty, Mike mentioned is because of the weather but if you bring good clothing you should be fine.

5.00I took the 10am bus to the Great Wall with mubus. I was sceptical when I left the house of what to expect but had the most incredible time. John and Mike were both fantastic guides - organised, professional and funny. They made the experience very seamless. Everything is organised for you so you just need to get to the meeting point and then you can relax. Highly recommend as a solo traveller!! Thank you John and Mike!!

5.00The tour was amazing! I would recommend booking the lunch as the food is get and all you can eat, the views from atop the wall are awesome and the climb is not too difficult on the west side - the final slope is a bit steep but it is 100% worth it for the beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The Tour Guide Mike was informative and also hilarious, the ride back was made all the better by his impassioned speech and encouraging words, I cannot recommend it enough.

5.00Mubus’s Mutianyu tour was great, and our guide John was extremely helpful. John was a bundle of energy—he not only livened up the atmosphere with jokes and engaging explanations of the Great Wall’s history, but also helped us purchase all our tickets. The certificate photo is definitely worth buying. The Mubus rest area was warm and cozy, with free hot drinks and snacks. Special mention goes to the buffet lunch—it was surprisingly good! We visited on a Sunday and it was quiet. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

5.00We met our guide John at Dongzhimen Station where was a very convenient place for us to grab something as breakfast. The winter day was windy, and chilly but quite sunny, and the Greatwall area’s colorful New Year balloons and decorations made the whole place feel festive. Guide John was fantastic—knowledgeable, funny, and always ready to help, after arriving at the Greatwall bus station,we sat in the bus waiting room where hot tea and snacks were already ready for us. But what stood out most was how every Mubus employee went out of their way to make us feel at home.
