Mutianyu Great Wall Tour Itinerary MuBus offers two direct bus Shift to the Mutianyu Great Wall every day at 8:00AM and 10:00AM, their schedule as follows: Bus Departure 8:00AM: 08:00: Bus depart from the meeting point. 09:30: Arrive Great Wall and sightseeing. 15:00: Bus depart from the Great Wall. 17:00: Arrive the meeting point and tour is over. 5.00Nice tour If you want a Great Wall experience without the tourist-trap chaos, choose Mubus’s Mutianyu trip and pray you get Kevin as your guide. His English is not only fluent but culturally nuanced—he translated Chinese idioms about the wall into poetic English that gave me chills.

5.00We came during Beijing’s rainy season, and forecasts warned of continuous rain for around a week. Fortunately, we got really lucky. It only turned out cloudy with zero rainfall once we arrived at the Great Wall. Our tour guide John offered fantastic service. He speaks perfect English. While we rode the coach, he reminded us of key trip notes and elaborated on the Great Wall’s construction across various dynasties. His detailed accounts helped us deeply feel the profound, long-standing history of China. We boarded the 8 a.m. bus. Although summer vacation brought lots of student tourists, our early departure let us steer clear of massive crowds. The vast Great Wall looked stunning and awe-inspiring. This memorable trip is something I will keep in my mind permanently.

5.00Everything went smoothly overall. While riding the bus, guide John elaborated on Mutianyu’s geography and profound historical background. He thoroughly explained the construction evolution of the Great Wall across various dynasties, which greatly broadened our horizons. He also thoughtfully pre-booked our cable car and toboggan tickets for us in advance, delivering thoughtful service profoundly Surprisingly, there was no rain at all once we arrived at the Great Wall scenic area. Although tourist numbers were moderate, our 8 a.m. departure helped us keep queuing time for the cable car and downhill luge reasonably short.

3.00It was my second time with MuBus. The tour is generally good and makes the visit of the Great Wall easier. However, last year food seemed much better than this year at the buffet. Most food was cold. Also, I've noticed the guide was sort of insisting for us to buy return tickets for the cable cars or toboggan with Mubus. I was aware we could buy those services on the spot because last year we did so, I only wanted to double check, but this time the guide was insisting for me to contact her and being issued electronic tickets. I was wondering: why? I told her we did not know how we would come back from the Great Wall so I asked whether we could buy the tickets directly at the counter but she kept insisting we contact her. In the end, I just ignored her and bought the tickets myself. The guide never mention that it's fairly easy to return on foot. The path is smooth and easy. I think the tour is not as good as it used to be. In the end, the real reason to get the tour is to get to the Great Wall more easily and without using Didi, which is more expensive. Also, it makes easier to get the entrance ticket, which might be an issue if it's a busy day. Tickets for the cable car, shuttle, and toboggan can all be bought on the spot. I asked the guide if I could get a cable car to tower 14 and come back with toboggan from tower 6. She said it would be a two hour queue. In the end, it was around 1 pm and the queue was 45 min. I think she was extremely eager to sell the return tickets for cable cars. It's absolutely feasible and actually extremely nice going from tower 14 to tower 6 so don't feel obliged to complete one of the two paths that Mubus offers in the picture I've attached.

4.00Fantastic day at the Great Wall, it is an amazing place and the views are incredible. Our guide Cici provided all the information we needed, and was very attentive and helpful throughout the day when needed. Highly recommend doing the Tobogan ride down the east side. A lot of fun for us all. The facilities and lunch provided by Mubus was really good even my wife who is very fussy was pleased with the food. Only negative, and reason for loss of 1 star, was that it wasn’t made clear when we booked that in reality you have to book the cable cars etc, and they also didn’t make the price clear even the day before. We were happy to pay and the price is well worth it, just needs to be made clear that in reality it’s something you must have.

5.00As you know, the Great Wall is one of the 7 “Wonders of the World” and it does not disappoint! It’s a “must see”! Our guide “LC” spoke very good English annd looked after our group very well. He was full of knowledge which he imparted with great enthusiasm. He is also a very nice guy.

Mubus worked perfectly for me; booked the 8AM tour, arrived at 7:45 (be early!!) and returned already around 16:00, as there are multiple return buses to choose from once you're ready from the Wall (I left with the earliest one). Don't worry about lunch, restrooms or water, as you get 1 free water and can book an affordable buffet lunch at the Mutianyu location and restrooms are not hard to find before going up to the mountain. Our guide Amelia also helped us with booking any extra tickets such as the cable car, which I highly recommend so you will have energy left for the Wall! Highly recommend for people who want to explore at their own pace. Amazing views and a memory of a lifetime!

5.00This is my family first time to visit Great Wall We have 4 children with us but Kevin help us a lot that make the trip easier. He gave us a lot of information like the Great Wall history and how to travel the wall , he help us all the ticket what we need on the bus .We choose the eastern route because children want to try toboggan. Great Wall is really nice , Thank you Kevin help us a nice trip.
