• A Memorable Family Adventure: Exploring Mutianyu Great Wall with MuBus

  We went to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall and booked a tour through MuBus. The duration of the tour was roughly 9 hours. It was comfortable and well-organized. Our guide, Jessica, was extremely helpful and explained every detail as we headed to Mutianyu. At Mutianyu, tourists can choose either the Eastern or Western routes, or both, depending on physical fitness and time management. Since we had small kids, we chose the Western route, which offers a cable car option to reach the wall. We didn’t book the cable car beforehand, but thanks to Jessica, we were able to secure seats on the spot at a very good price. On the western side of the wall, there are six towers open for tourists, from number 14 to 20. Because of my fear of heights, I couldn’t go much further, but for those who are comfortable with climbing stairs, it’s manageable. However, it was really enjoyable walking along this living piece of history. I felt like I had gone back in time and could hear the whispers of the past. We stayed at the wall for around 3 hours and returned to the MuBus reception after some souvenir shopping. MuBus offers a buffet lunch for its passengers. The buffet can either be pre-booked or purchased on site. We purchased on site, and I can say it was the best decision—not having lunch at a random restaurant outside. The buffet had a wide range of options, serving both traditional and Western cuisine. We reached Beijing around 4 pm. Overall, the tour was really good and great value for money.   The Mubus visitor center is a game-changer for tourists. From the moment I stepped in, I knew this tour would be special. It’s located in a handy spot, easy to access by public transport or taxi. The center is modern and welcoming, with clear signs and a cozy atmosphere. In winter, it was a warm refuge from the cold outside. This attention to detail shows how well Mubus organizes things. Inside, the staff were helpful and efficient. They provided all necessary information, like tour schedules and weather updates. There were free Wi-Fi and charging stations, which I appreciated. They also had restrooms and a small shop for last-minute items. This convenience made the pre-tour time relaxing instead of rushed. Our guide, Kevin, was at the center, greeting everyone with a smile. He made sure we were all prepared, handing out tickets and answering questions. His professionalism shone through as he managed the group smoothly. He even offered tips for dressing warmly for the Great Wall, showing his care for our comfort.

  A breathtaking and smooth experience from start to finish! The winter sun shining on the snow-capped Great Wall was a sight I will never forget. It felt more authentic and peaceful. This was greatly enhanced by the excellent organization of Mubus and our fantastic guide, Kevin. Kevin is a gem! He is professional, kind, and funny. He managed our time perfectly, ensuring we saw all the key sections without feeling rushed. His historical anecdotes were short and engaging, perfect for all ages. He was constantly aware of the group's needs, from finding sunny spots to warm up to knowing where the cleanest restrooms were. His attentive and cheerful service is what makes Mubus stand out. I felt well-cared for throughout the entire journey. Highly, highly recommend!

  What an incredible day! Visiting Mutianyu in winter was a dream. The snow-covered towers and winding wall were absolutely majestic. I’m so glad I chose Mubus for this tour. Our guide, Kevin, deserves a special shout-out. He was incredibly welcoming and made sure everyone in the group felt included. His knowledge is impressive, and he explained things in a very simple, interesting way. He was always looking out for our safety on the cold, sometimes icy path, offering a helping hand. His positive energy was contagious! He also gave us great free time to explore on our own after his informative tour. The whole day felt personalized and well-paced. Mubus provides a great service, and with a guide like Kevin, it becomes an exceptional one.

  Jessica is a super helpful and knowledgable guide. She helped sort out the tickets to the great wall - entrance, cable car, tobbagan. She also helped with recommendations and it was amazing that the bus company provided lunch buffet and loads of free tea and snacks My daughter and I completed the great wall both sections and found little time to have our late lunch. Jessica was helpful to arrange for us later bus rides home with the company.

  Visiting the wall of china was one of the best experiences of my trip and this tour was the key to achieve this. The company is very organized and we’re very clear on what was included in the tour. They have a meeting point in the base of the wall for pick up and do not follow you all the way to the paths of the wall, which was great as it give you more freedom to explore it yourself on your own pace.

  We’ve enjoyed our great wall tour with Jessica. We took the eastern route and greeted us with the panoramic view of the mountain up to the great wall. Seeing with your own eyes this wonder of the world left us in awe. After the trekking to the wall, we ate at the sumptuous buffet. Reasonable price for a variety of meal. I highly recommend this tour of the great wall. Memories that will last a lifetime
