You will enjoy an insight into the old city of Muharraq and information about Bahrain that they might never be heard of before. Guests will be mesmerised by the traditional old Bahraini houses, their design, art, and atmosphere. Each house tells a different story talking about the Pearl diving history of Bahrain to current and traditional Bahraini art and design. This tour includes an exclusive entrance to Bahrain Pavillion and Bahrain Pearl Path monument where I will be explaining the importance of their existence throughout the history of Bahrain. Finally, guests are invited to a local Bahraini coffee shop where they are greeted by the owner who’s fully dressed up in a Bahraini traditional attire (thobe) and they will be given Arabic Bahraini tea, coffee, dates, sweets, and Tikka where I’ll be explaining the ingredients of each drink and food they eat and this is all included in the price.

Pearling Path
As of 2012, “Pearling, Testimony of an Island Economy” has become the second World Heritage Site of the Kingdom of Bahrain as the testimony of its millennia-old pearl collecting tradition and the globally significant single-product island economy and social system it produced. “Pearling, Testimony of an Island Economy” is a serial nomination consisting of 15 property components: three vast oyster beds located in the northern territorial waters of Bahrain, one seashore site at the southern tip of Bahrain’s Muharraq Island, and nine clusters of historic buildings consisting of seventeen architectural structures embedded in the urban fabric of Muharraq city. Taken together, the fifteen individual sites reflect the final expression and last remaining – and thus outstanding – example of a cultural tradition that dominated the Arabian Gulf from prehistory to the early 20th century.

The tour was super insightful and informative. We could have not covered things in this detail through self exploration. The multiple snacks breaks kept things light and breezy even though we were walking for hours. Props to the tour guide Khaled for the amazing experience.

I had an excellent experience on the Muharraq Walking Tour, especially with our guide Khaled, who was knowledgeable, engaging, and very welcoming. The tour was very well organized and offered a rich insight into the history and cultural heritage of Muharraq. The Muharraq Nights, during the festive month of December, are truly unmissable. They beautifully showcase the glorious era of pearl diving and bring to life an important and fascinating chapter of Bahrain’s history. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to experience the soul of Bahrain through its culture, history, and traditions.

We had a fantastic experience exploring with Khaled. The walking tour was the perfect blend of culture, history, and local flavor. Khaled shared fascinating insights into the country’s traditions and key figures, and I especially enjoyed learning about the pearling industry, which is such an important part of Bahrain’s heritage. A real highlight was getting to try authentic Bahraini coffee, tea, dates, and local snacks along the way. Khaled is knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. I highly recommend this tour!

The tour was great and very interesting. The day before I tried to do it on I own and I missed a lot of places as it's not very well indicated. I would recommend taking the tour, this way you also get more additional information. Khaled was great, very charismatic and funny. The places he took us too were beautiful and each one had a very interesting history. The group was great, and I had a lot of fun and a fruitful experience 🙌

Khaled loves Bahrain and does his best to share his love with others. If we walked around the old city of Muharraq on our own, we would see a maximum of 20% of the interesting places. A lot of historical information, visits of old houses, great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
