All of our tour guides are Bay Area Natives, which will help you understand what it’s like to grow up in SF and now live here as grown ups with our own families. You will enjoy an introduction to San Francisco on this 5 to 6 hour tour that includes Neighborhoods like Chinatown, North Beach, Pacific Heights and a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument. You'll be driven around the city to see its diverse neighborhoods and geography, stopping several times for photo ops. At Muir Woods, admire the towering redwood trees, and visit the waterfront town of Sausalito for lunch (own expense). Works great for people coming from cruise ships. You cannot book the Alcatraz option under 4 days in advance.

In order to visit Alcatraz, you must choose the Alcatraz Option. If you do not select the Alcatraz option, we will not be able to provide admission for you to Alcatraz.
Our ticket availability for Alcatraz visits is limited, and unfortunately, we are unable to provide any extra accommodations. If the Alcatraz option is not available, it means that all tickets have been sold out.

Day Tour + Alcatraz Admission
Official Alactraz Tour : After the "SF-Woods-Sausalito" part of the tour, you will be dropped off at Alcatraz Landing where you will catch the ferry.
Duration: 3 hours: The Alcatraz Audio tour is around 90 minutes, you have an option to stay longer or take the ferry back.
Alcatraz Ferry: You will take a ferry to and from Alcatraz Island.

5.00We booked this day trip while in SF because it covered a few of the top areas we wanted to see and having a guide always makes it so much better! Our guide Brendan was fabulous! Very knowledgeable and funny and provided some great recommendations for food and entertainment. We toured the SF area and made our way to Muir Woods which has been one of my "must do" activities for years. Perfect day to explore the easy loop and get some stunning photos. Lunch in Saulusito was quick but good. Try Spinnakers and ask to sit by the water. We made it to the docks to board to Alcatraz in just enough time to get tickets and board. Dress warm! We didn't expect how cold and windy it would be. This tour saved money by combining travel, guide and entrance into Alcatraz. Definitely recommend!

5.00It was a fun trip. Brendan was nice and funny. He had free snacks, show you famous places, make jokes, he will recommend restaurants, and help you take photos. Make sure you dress warmly because it gets windy.

5.00I forgot our tour guides name but he was beyond great. Funny and very informative. He made our trip so much better. He needs a raise! He was taking pics for people and giving us recommendations based on his experiences. I feel so bad I forgot his name but he was the single father with glasses. He was fantastic!

5.00I give this tour 500 stars. The tour itself and the information was a 10/10 experience, especially hearing it from a born and raised local, Brendan. The collection of locations was perfect for a day trip and as a woman traveling solo I felt super safe! Get on this tour you won’t regret it! - On top of that our driver was generous enough to drop me off at my hotel and when I left my phone behind on accident, he turned around his schedule and brought it back.

4.00This was the second tour around San Francisco that we’ve had within the year. There was very little overlap between the two which was nice. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with a haze that didn’t clear up and a cool dampness throughout the day. The tour size was 22 which filled up the minibus which was clean and reasonably comfortable. Our guide, Per ( pronounced ’pair’), was the driver as well. He did an excellent job and was very personable. Bottled water was provided with assorted snacks such as Doritos, Goldfish and Cheese-its. Muir Woods was beautiful and impressive, well worth the time spent ( around one hour and 15 minutes). Lunch in Sausalito was delicious but pricey.
