From day one when we landed on the airport to deparute date - we felt cared for and appreciated. I couldn’t imagine a trek could look like that. Beautiful views, cozy places to sleep even in totally harsh environment, very good food and a lot to choose from (although dal bhat power 24h). Kapil and Tsiring - our guide and porter- were an amazing team. We could rely on them we could always ask for help or explanation (cultural and religious wise as well). Prices very reasonable. The company took care of all the permits and local payments. During the 15 days we felt as if Himalayas were sooo in reach. Every white peak every “hill without a name” (well there is no need to call any 5/6.000 m if there are 8.000 around right?). The trek was pure magic. Best memories? Waking up to snow peaks and beautiful landscapes. Crossing waterfalls and small rivers. Gazing at the stars in the evening and night. One has to experience it to understand it. Totally recommend.

This was the most enchanting trek I have ever been on and I have hiked all over the world. I would like to thank our guide, Kapil, our porter, Ganesh, and the entire team at Places Nepal for making it possible.

We had an amazing family holiday in April with Places Nepal. The Manaslu trek is epic, amazing views and little mountain villages. Our guide Nam was with us every step of the way and ensured a seamless trip. Nam was very prepared for the trek carrying just-in-case safety equipment for high altitudes and was very considerate with how everyone was feeling and incorporated this into our daily plans. Our porters were also very helpful and came back to carry my son’s pack at one point. Places Nepal are also very invested in sustainable tourist and we love that they give back to Nepali schools / communities. I highly recommend Places Nepal if you are considering a hiking holiday in Nepal.

We just finished our 10 day trek on the Manaslu Circuit with our guide, Kopil. This trek is a mix of beauty and endurance, and it’s very important to have a good companion by your side. From day one, Kopil impressed us with his ability to sense the client’s needs. He didn’t just fulfill the basics that were part of the package, like taking care of lodging and food. He always feels when to be there to assist or give advice, and when to respect the client’s privacy. Any request or minor issue was solved with a smile and a calm voice. We always felt safe, thanks to this person. Equally important was the time management, which was excellent. His ability to change and adapt to our needs and interests throughout the daily itinerary worked smoothly every time. He always offered a few possible options and advised which one was better. I can honestly say that all 10 days spent with this guy went smoothly, with no reason to be dissatisfied or upset. I’m grateful to him for leaving Nepal with so many wonderful experiences and memories. A big thank you to you, Kopil.”

For the first time I trekked this far and for this long (days), I've never been this tired from walking. At first 4 days were very tiring and made my both legs sore and pain, but our guide Gokul, assistant Guide Mangal, and Guide to be Sujan, always kept helping, supporting and encouraging me that I can go through the pass, they even offered me to carry my daypack (it's not really heavy just 1-2 kg, but for such weak human like me who rarely exercise, it weighs on me so much that slowing me down. Mangal also took care of us everyday, he was making sure if everybody's okay everyday. And luckily, there some acclimatization day (that I skipped), I should've come with other friend, but just sat in the sun room and walked around the inn to stretch my leg, but it really made me feel better, Sujan our youngest teammates really helped me a lot, I felt like having a private guide, he served me the whole day, and some other days also he helped me carry my daypack, and refill water, and order food. I'm sure you will be a very good guide! In the end, I managed to get through the Larke Pass, one of the longest highest pass in Himalayan. YESSS All the tiredness paid off with this achievement, thanks to everybody... Day after day has passed, we're getting closer to each other, I felt like we've become friends and family in time, I feel really happy but also sad because we have to separate after this trek ends. Thank you for Gokul, Mangal, Sujan, and we have Ganesh my porter, my private assistant (on basecamp day), and TempK you're so funny, you built the atmosphere and made everyone laugh. I really enjoy the trek with u guys, I am sorry for things maybe I've done wrong, and also sorry for bothering you guys too much, wish you guys enjoy our trek too. I hope we will some other trek together again one time.

Absolutely loved the Manaslu trek with PlacesNepal ! The guides (Gokul and Mangal) and porters (Ganesh, Temke, Sujan) were amazing—super helpful, kind, funny and professional. The group chemistry was great, which made the trek even more enjoyable. The views were stunning, but what made the experience truly unforgettable was the time shared with such a great team. I had an incredible time with PlacesNepal and would definitely recommend them for anyone considering going to Nepal. Already looking forward to planning my next trip, jam jam !

Just got back from the Manaslu Circuit with Places Nepal, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, everything was smooth and well taken care of. Nam helped us organize and communicate all the pre-trek logistics—super responsive, clear, and patient with all our questions. He made sure we felt prepared and confident before we even landed in Nepal. Once on the trail, the team was incredible. Gokul, our main guide, was calm, responsible, and always ensured things ran smoothly. His steady, reliable presence made a huge difference—especially on the more challenging days. Mangal, our second guide (and also a great videographer), was super knowledgeable—not just about the route, but also about the culture, history, and environment. He brought so much insight and energy to the trek, and somehow still managed to capture amazing footage throughout the journey. Our porters—Sujan, Ram, and Ganesh—were absolute legends. Always smiling, always helpful, and they carried the weight (literally and figuratively) that allowed us to enjoy the trail stress-free. Their positivity and work ethic were honestly inspiring. The scenery was breathtaking, but it was this team that made the trek truly special. It never felt like a tour—it felt like an adventure shared with friends. I felt safe, supported, and looked after every step of the way. If you’re planning a trek in Nepal, go with Places Nepal. This trip was an experience I’ll remember for life.

The Manaslu Circuit was the adventure of a lifetime, and much of that credit goes to our incredible guide and now dear friend, Nam! From the moment we met him, Nam's warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the region stood out. We were a group of 4 and I was especially concerned if my mom would be able to make the entire trail. Nam always stayed in the back helping us pushing forward with in the trail, always making sure my mom was comfortable and taking the necessary rest breaks. With his enthusiasm and gift for jokes (but always super professional) Nam actually made it feel much easier than what it actually was. The trail itself is breathtaking—a journey through lush forests, charming villages, and eventually into the high-altitude, snow-capped landscapes that make the Himalayas so legendary. Nam ensured we didn’t miss a single highlight, from cultural insights about the Tibetan-influenced villages to the hidden spots with the best panoramic views of the mountains. Crossing the Larkya La Pass was challenging, but Nam’s encouragement made it feel like we could conquer anything. The moment we reached the top, with the stunning peaks surrounding us, was nothing short of magical. If you’re considering the Manaslu Circuit, having Nam as your guide is a must. His expertise, kindness, and passion for the region transformed a stunning trek into a deeply personal and enriching journey. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide—or a better friend. Thank you, Nam, for memories we’ll cherish forever! Don't forget: "put your feet okay" and "it is just 5 minutes" :)

Amazing, exceptional, unforgettable experience. I spent 10 days in the circuit of Manaslu doing a solo tour, with a guide and a porter that accompanied me through this remote and little-frequented area of Nepal. I immersed myself in the nature, I visited small villages and got in touch with locals, moving away from crowded cities and disconnecting from work. We reached the 5106 Larke Pass without difficulties, and the company of the guide was discreet and eventually we became friends. He was very respectful of my desire of being alone, but at the same time was always present when necessary. I met people from the world getting the same trekking and we spent time playing nepalese game cards, or just cheating after dinner around the fire in the lodges. I recommend this experience and I am really grateful to Places Nepal for having welcomed me in Nepal in such a friendly way.

Ready to embark on an amazing trek through breathtaking views? Then pick the Manaslu circuit, and especially PlacesNepal to guide you there!!! It could not have been more fun: the landscapes were astonishing, the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, and the cherry on top is to have Nam (the guide that will become your buddy, trust me) to guide you and explain all there is to know about the circuit. This experience is a must! I strongly recommend it João Cortez
