The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe.
We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Latourell Falls, a stunning plunge-style falls that is one of the most iconic in Oregon, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt. We operate rain or shine!
We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
After meeting you at the starting point, 833 SE Main Street #124, we'll head out in one of our comfortable vans. The tour all takes place in the Columbia River Gorge, in the waterfall-laden western end of an 80-mile (130-km) canyon; we will drive about 35 minutes from our shop into the Gorge to start the tour.
Multnomah Falls
Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state and one of the most impressive, and most photographed, waterfalls in the U.S. If you're chasing waterfalls: this is the one many are seeking to catch. Our time here will include enough to go up to the iconic Benson Bridge and visit the gift shop; the hike to the top of the waterfall is long and steep, we will not include that in this tour.
Air-conditioned vehicle
We'll bring reusable bottles if you've left your own at home!
Permit and parking fees for Multnomah Falls included during the permit season
Gratuities (always appreciated by our passionate guides!)
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes: Our winter times are a little shorter given the shorter days

Everything was on time, the guide was helpful, and the sights were great. There was some light hiking, but nothing most people would consider strenuous.

If you come to Portland this is a must do activity. We had a blast and got to see so much of this beautiful area. The falls are amazing. Vista Point is the coolest rest stop in the world. An added bonus for Twilight fans a lot of scenes from the first movie were shot in the area.

My tour guide was James, she was amazing, for someone who has never been to Portland, she explained everything in detail and the tour to Multnomah Falls was beautiful the way she guided us.

When friends and family come to visit, a Columbia Gorge and waterfalls tour is always a great option. James is an excellent guide sharing the history of the land and offering recommendations to local spots. Regardless of the weather, be prepared for some wind and wear sturdy shoes.

Me and my boyfriend had the best time on our tour with our tour guide on 1/16/26 with Edwin. He knew alot about the history of Oregon and gave us insight and history of the waterfalls. He offered snacks and made it a great experience for our first trip to Portland! Definitely recommend
