The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe.
We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Latourell Falls, a stunning plunge-style falls that is one of the most iconic in Oregon, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt. We operate rain or shine!
We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
After meeting you at the starting point, 833 SE Main Street #124, we'll head out in one of our comfortable vans. The tour all takes place in the Columbia River Gorge, in the waterfall-laden western end of an 80-mile (130-km) canyon; we will drive about 35 minutes from our shop into the Gorge to start the tour.
Multnomah Falls
Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state and one of the most impressive, and most photographed, waterfalls in the U.S. If you're chasing waterfalls: this is the one many are seeking to catch. Our time here will include enough to go up to the iconic Benson Bridge and visit the gift shop; the hike to the top of the waterfall is long and steep, we will not include that in this tour.
Air-conditioned vehicle
We'll bring reusable bottles if you've left your own at home!
Permit and parking fees for Multnomah Falls included during the permit season
Gratuities (always appreciated by our passionate guides!)

Gorgeous day viewing 4 waterfalls expertly guided by James. They were extremely knowledgeable about the cultural and natural history of the gorge. The falls are about 40 minutes out of city so there’s not too much drive time but a lot of outdoor time enjoying the falls and environs. The falls were accessible without too much effort and were a nice mix of wild and touristy. Multnomah is impressive but touristy. James was very attentive and made sure we had water and snacks. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a great way to see multiple waterfalls. Angie was a fantastic guide. As a city girl, I was worried about the hike, but it wasn’t bad at all, and we were able to take our time at each stop.

We had a fantastic tour today. James our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area. You could tell just how much the area means to James as she knew all of the local plants and the best vantage points. Definitely book this tour if you’re thinking about, it’s great and well run.

We had such a great experience. I can’t remember our tour guides name but she was awesome. Short blonde hair . She was very informative the whole time . Our first stop there was a bath room break and at our last stop. There were two different gift shops to see and the falls were so pretty . We went in April and it was a beautiful 65 degrees . Got a little cold and misty by the falls. We drove past two of the mountains there and got some good pics . This was a great way to be with nature , get some great information about Portland , and see some beautiful scenery. I highly recommend. Also if you are gonna walk closer to the falls I suggest hiking boots for stability

This tour exceeded my expectations. We drove about 40 minutes to Multnomah Falls where we were given plenty of time to explore. Next we went to Bridal Veil and LaTourell Falls. Last stop was the lookout over the Columbia River Gorge and the Vista House. Our guide was delightful and gave us tons of info along with pointing out interesting places along the way. Everyone in the group had a great time and I highly recommend this tour.
