The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe.
We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Latourell Falls, a stunning plunge-style falls that is one of the most iconic in Oregon, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt. We operate rain or shine!
We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
After meeting you at the starting point, 833 SE Main Street #124, we'll head out in one of our comfortable vans. The tour all takes place in the Columbia River Gorge, in the waterfall-laden western end of an 80-mile (130-km) canyon; we will drive about 35 minutes from our shop into the Gorge to start the tour.
Multnomah Falls
Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state and one of the most impressive, and most photographed, waterfalls in the U.S. If you're chasing waterfalls: this is the one many are seeking to catch. Our time here will include enough to go up to the iconic Benson Bridge and visit the gift shop; the hike to the top of the waterfall is long and steep, we will not include that in this tour.
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes: Our winter afternoon times are a little shorter given the early sunset

It was excellent! Angela was fantastic guide, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about the area, history, geology, made sure everyone was cared for, clear about time, terrain, what we’d experience, what NOT to do (go up to Multnomah Falls!), lots of suggestions about what to do & where to eat in Portland, etc. Great driver, experienced, inspired confidence.

Nice small group including my family of 4. We visited 4 falls and learned a lot of historical information about Oregon & Portland. We had an amazing time and our guide Shannon was wonderful. We plan on booking other tours with them.

The tour was very informative. Our guide was fun, affable and very helpful. She knew a lot about the locak plant life, which is awesome. The waterfalls are beautiful and the stops are well paced. The scenic overlooks are amazing. The only thing I'd like is more time at Multnomah Falls. The stop is about 45 minutes but I think an hour to an hour and a half is good there. I suppose there are tours just dedicated to Multnomah if you want to be there most of the day. There is a shop and a restaurant if you want to enjoy local fare.
