We had a very good experience trekking in the mountains near My Son, it was so beautiful, and our guide Nhan was amazing - he had a lot of interesting information about the Vietnamese history, culture, nature and the My Son sanctuary, and was very easy to understand. We can definitely recommend this tour 😊 We recommend bringing snacks, as breakfast is served after the trek, which takes around 3 hours 😁

It was a very good experience. It was raining and visibility was poor, but our experienced guide led us on a trek to the My Son ruins. He explained the history of Hinduism to us in detail in the ruins.

Incredible tour and well worth getting up early. The tour guide, Thao, was incredibly knowledgeable with absolutely excellent English skills. The trek is optional but again, we would highly recommend. This was a fantastic tour and a highlight of our time in central Vietnam.

Amazing adventure! Everything was great! The driver picked me up from my hotel more precise than a Swiss watch. Then during our way to the hike we picked up Thao (the guide speaking perfect English) and Xa (the trekking/hiking guide). The hike in the middle of the jungle was super fun and at half way we stopped close to a small river for having lunch: they prepared a bbq on the spot and we had meat sticks and shrimps. Then we restarted our hike in the jungle and we finally arrived at My Son. It was quite fun to arrive there from the jungle and not from the official entrance. At this stage Thao made me visit My Sơn, giving me a lot of information about its history, the Champa’s culture, the site destruction during the war and the efforts from the Vietnamese government along with many other countries to rebuild the site. You can ask him any kind of question, he will know the answer. It really was a wonderful day! Thanks Thao and Xa!

My sister and I had a fantastic day yesterday visiting My Son followed by the trek. Our guide at My Son was so good. He obviously has a passion for history and the Champa culture, and was very knowledgeable. Being there early was also an excellent and quiet time to visit the ruins. The two of us were the only ones on the trek. We started the walk from the back of My Son. Be aware that you MUST wear decent shoes, long sleeves and trousers otherwise you will be scratched and cut to bits. This is a proper jungle trek and our guide was using a machete to clear the path. He realised very quickly that we were very interested in bugs, wildlife and plants so kept on pointing things out and passing on interesting facts and, thanks to Google Translate, we had great conversations. We stopped at about 10 am for about an hour by a stream for a rest and a delicious bbq. (Take note that this was our first meal of the day if you are someone who needs food to function). We then walked for another 2-3 hours up and down hills. It's not difficult but it is long and hot. All in all it was a really great day and both guides were awesome. Highly recommended but go well prepared.

Wow! This really added to the experience and I would highly recommend this hike. Make sure to wear long pants and long sleeves. The trail was rugged and beautiful. The food was delicious! Our guide was attentive and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of beautiful flora, some fauna, and a few water buffalo. If you’re a hiker - this is a must do.

After we were picked up at our hotel and had a delicious coffee and a Banh Mi to strengthen up for the trip we went further and further into rural Vietnam. On the way to our starting point we drove past picturesque landscapes for which we also made short stops to enjoy them and take photos. Then we started the hike to My Son sanctuary. On small trails we walked through dense bushes (long pants recommended) up the mountain and enjoyed the wonderful view at the valley. After a nice BBQ, with fresh meat and vegetables at a little stream, we continued hiking towards My Son Sanctuary. There we walked around the fascinating old ruins and also saw the painstaking restoration work. Afterwards we were picked up at the entrance of the my Son Sanctuary and drove exhausted but happy back to our hotel. In general, it was a very nice trip, in a small group with a very kind and well informed tour guide and i can really recommend to do it :)

Shortly after we were picked up from our hostel, we were warmly welcomed and invited to a small breakfast and coffee to wake up. Thạo‘s in-depth knowledge of many of the places we passed on the journey to the starting point made it fly by and we quickly enjoyed the impressive morning scenery up close. Together with Thạo and an experienced hunter we began the tour and explored and walked through the jungle near the my Son sanctuary. Every question that arose about the circumstances of the jungle could be answered by the well-established team. Due to the fact that the paths lead through the branches, it is definitely advisable to wear long clothes to prevent possible injuries. The barbecue inbetween was delicious and a unique experience that I will never forget. Strengthened, we then went on the last leg, where we enjoyed a breathtaking view of My Son before we began the final descent to have a closer look. Exhausted but enriched by countless unique experiences, we started our journey back to the hostel. All in all I would recommend this tour to those who are adventurous and find ordinary tourist tours boring and want to get to know the nature of Vietnam in its pristine form combined with enriched knowledge of local people.
