We can definitely recommend this early morning tour to escape the masses and to be able to take pictures without other people in it. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy, but we still could take some nice pictures of My Son Sanctuary. The rice paper making did take place at an incredible friendly local family. They still have some old tools for grinding the rice, very interesting. The boat tour nicely complemented the trip. All in all a great experience!

Early morning was the perfect time to visit My Son. I was picked up at my hotel at 0500. We were the first people at My Son that day. Our tour guide, Amy, was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We had plenty of time at the sanctuary. I really enjoyed the tour.

Really enjoyed our visit to My Son. Beautiful location, nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of Hoian and explore this picturesque and culturally rich place. Our guide Tony was fabulous and we learnt a lot from him. He was engaging and informative and paced the delivery of information and the site visit very nicely. It was also a treat to visit a local farm and see how rice paper is made as well as learn a bit how the farmers live and work and then to top the tour off with a boat ride.

Very beautiful experience seeing the ancient temples. Learned lots through our guide, Amy, who was also funny. The pace of the tour for us as a family with a toddler was just right!

The 5am start was well worth it as when we arrived, our group was the only group at the temple and so we had it to ourselves. By the time we left, the mist in the mountains had gone, and lots of other groups had arrived. Amy was a great guide, she was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and her English was extremely good which made the trip even more enjoyable.
