The early start is definitely worth it because you beat the crowds and the heat, get to enjoy a peaceful tour of My Son Sanctuary. you will have a wonderful opportunity to take perfect photos with no one around, to see some wildlife & hear about Vietnamese history with your guide, have breakfast with local noodles, coffee, bottled water, fruits, make rice paper, enjoy with boat trip on Thu Bon River. we take you back your hotel.Tour ends. *Morning Tour* : Begin 7:30 am & End within 2:00pm -2:30pm, Small group : Maximum 13 pax, about 2,5 hours to discover the site, learn about Vietnamese history with your guide, watch a Champa show, have lunch with local noodles, seasonal fruits, bottled water, make rice paper & relax with boat trip on Thu Bon River. we take you back your hotel. 4.00The trip in the car was long, uncomfortable and nerve-wracking. The driver seemed to be in a hurry. My Son itself was great, although there was a lot of walking in the heat. Our guide Amy was a fount of knowledge and gave us a lot of interesting information. We felt that she took off a bit quickly whenever we had to walk somewhere and didn't do much checking to see if people were keeping up. All in all a worthwhile experience. Maybe don't wait till you're over 80 before you do it.

5.00Tony was an excellent tour guide! As many other reviewers have pointed out, going for the earliest tour is without doubt the best option to beat the heat and the crowds. Transport was smooth, breakfast was good, and the boat ride back to Hoi An was peaceful. The ruins themselves are impressive, and it was fascinating learning about the Cham people and their history. The short traditional dance was a huge bonus at the end of the tour!

5.00Our guide, Tony, was great very clear about what we would be doing and keeping us all to time. The my son sanctuary was lovely. Lunch was good. I really enjoyed finding out how rice noodles were made and visiting a traditional maker. The boat ride was refreshing. A good tour.

5.00We were lucky enough to have Van as our guide and his passion and knowledge and friendliness were such a treat. The early morning tour was best for us because the temperature was expected to reach 95 F (35 C) and the tour is entirely outdoors. We got up at 4:30am to be picked up at 5am and were touring the temples at sunrise. It was stunningly beautiful and totally empty!! By the end of our two hours, other people were filling the sites and the temperature heated up very quickly. Breakfast is included in the tour but is not served until *after* visiting the temples and sites so make sure you eat something. We woke at 4:30am and didn't eat until around 9:00am so if you're like me, you may be shaking and starving by then. The end of the tour included a stop at a village to see how rice noodles and rice paper is made. My 13 year old volunteered to try it and I enjoyed seeing them make these foods that I have been buying at H-Mart for years back in the U.S. After this stop, it was a long drive to Hoi An where we got on a boat. To pass the time, Van told us the story of his life. I won't give it away in case you also have Van as your guide and are lucky enough to hear him talk but I'll just tell you that we laughed, we smiled, and we cried. He's a wonderful human being. At the end, we all hopped on a motor boat that quietly took us to downtown Hoi An to our shuttle. You could stay and shop or you could shuttle to your hotel. Overall, we were door to door 5am to 11am. Highly recommend everything about this tour! Take a snack and take water! We did not have any bug problems in early April so bug spray was not needed.
