This 8 hour tour covers the basic 17-mile loop of Monument Valley and visits some restricted backcountry stops. You will view many of the famous monuments on this tour; in particular you will make stops at The East and West Mittens viewpoint, John Ford’s Point & Three Sisters viewpoint, the Totem Pole viewpoint, Artist’s Point, and the North Window viewpoints. In the back-country you will make stops at The Sun’s Eye & Ear of the Wind. In addition, to all the above-mentioned areas, it also visits scenic Mystery Valley. Mystery Valley is an area full of Anasazi Ruins and rock art, otherwise not seen from the main highway. You will explore Mystery Valley in the morning, followed by a barbecued lunch cooked by your tour guide. You will then continue on into Hidden Valley, covering the same 3.5 hour tour, visiting the Hogan and all the well-known formations.

A very cool experience with a knowledgeable guide. They take you to places unreachable otherwise. A big wood grilled burger cooked in the middle of scenic Mystery Valley. Our guide even helped overcome our fear of heights by climbing up to skull cave. If you have all day I'd highly recommend this tour. This experience was top notch!

Our guide Billy is not usually the guide for this tour but he was good. His presentations were informative and his driving on very rough tracks was very good. He did a good job barbecuing our hamburger lunch. (Meatless option available.) Mystery Valley in the morning is historic with petroglyphs. Monument Valley in the afternoon has the beautiful mesas and buttes made famous by Hollywood.

Jayden, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the Monument Valley area. He knew all the landmarks, the best angles to see them from and relayed quite a bit of history. We visited several areas that cannot be seen without a guide. Definitely a must do tour in Monument Valley.

Well worth the expense and time though the last half of the day was the best part of the tour as it was specifically for the monuments vs general items of interest which was in the firts half of the day. Rita, our guide was pleasant and informtive taking good care of all of us.

Quite spectacular. The tour route was dazzling but brought up more questions than the guide could answer about geology and history. We overlapped with another tour by Tribal Tours and their guide was very articulate and entertaining. Rita was excellent and grilled great burgers. The stops for vendors were unnecessary.

It's very dusty on the Monument Valley tour due to other travelers. Otherwise, the Mystery Valley was awe-inspiring and the backcountry of Monument Valley was very informative, especially the Hoga and weaver.
