This was my second visit to India and my first time exploring Mysore Palace, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The palace, with its rich history &inspiring. It's hard to believe that it was built nearly 100 years ago. Although some parts have been damaged over time, the remaining structure is beautifully preserved and still leaves a lasting impression. The authorities have thoughtfully restricted access to certain areas to protect the monument, which is appreciated. There were fewer visitors compared to my previous trip, likely because it was a weekday during the winter season, which made the experience even more pleasant. Visiting in the evening is highly recommended, as the lighting completely transforms the palace and enhances its beauty. The food experience was also delightful. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were available, and the meals were served on banana leaves, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, it was a memorable visit, and I would highly recommend Mysore tour to anyone traveling to south region.

This tour turned out to be an unexpected highlight of our trip. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. We had a few pleasant stops along the way for coffee and lunch, with multiple lunch options including vegetarian choices, which we really appreciated. We were also provided with complimentary water bottles and snacks, which was a thoughtful touch. Although it was a long journey (almost three hours each way), the car was comfortable and made the drive much easier. Mysore was sunny and absolutely beautiful, and seeing the Mysore Palace was truly breathtaking. I only wish we had a little more time to stop at the viewpoints at Chamundi Hills for photos, but I completely understand that with such a long journey, time management is important. Our guide, Prashant, was excellent throughout the tour. I would especially like to mention that both Prashant and the driver were wonderful—very kind, accommodating, and understanding. They truly made the experience enjoyable for us. Overall, it was a lovely experience and one we would happily recommend.

I took a private tour , it included transportation, lunch and guide that we picked up next to our first destination. The guide was very experienced and knowledgeable. The lunch on banana leaf was awesome and all visited sites were very interesting. Be aware there are two options once to visit silk manufacturer and store, another option is to visit king Tipu palace, and Swamy tample in the begging of the day, highly reccomend the latter. Driver was good stopped on the way to try local food. I will suggest it as whole day experience.

Our excursion to Mysore, with lunch included, was truly magnificent and became one of the highlights of our trip. Our tour guide, Mr. Prashant, and our driver, Mr. Sanju, were both extremely professional, efficient, and genuinely kind. From the very beginning, they made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The places they chose for photo stops were some of the best viewpoints in the area, and every site we visited was simply fantastic. The restaurant they selected for lunch was excellent. We enjoyed delicious, authentic Indian food served on a banana leaf, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from — a wonderful cultural experience in itself. What really stood out was the depth of knowledge shared throughout the tour. Prashant’s explanations and stories about the region were outstanding. He is very knowledgeable, polite, and always happy to answer any questions. Sanju, our driver, was equally impressive — very professional, careful, and ensured a safe and smooth journey at all times. We are truly grateful for this wonderful experience and highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the area. It is definitely a must-do! Warm regards, Wiledo and Jikos from Canada 🇨🇦

Viator appears to be using a bait and switch for this tour - the main page describing this tour talks about visits to various temples and palaces and makes no mention of silk worms or silk manufacturing but when you click "Check Availability" the default option is a completely different tour which doesn't visit any of the locations described on the tour page. Even after booking, my itinerary showed the tour I wanted to book but the actual booking was for a completely different tour. Calling Viatour to correct this issue resulted in their representative being rude and unhelpful. This is a real shame because I have used Viator before and they have been great in the past but I can't in good conscience recommend you use them just in case they pull another bait and switch and you end up with a tour you don't want.

I had a great day trip from Bangalore to Mysuru with Roopesh, the tour guy, and Yogesh, the driver today. The total length of the tour is around 12 hours. I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel. Roopesh and Yogesh arranged everything so I am totally worry free. We went to a few attractions with the main ones as Tipu summer palace and Mysuru palace. Yogesh was very knowledgeable and explained very well. I was quite pleased with the trip.

I really enjoyed my trip to Mysore. The driver, Yogesh, was very kind and attentive. Beside the visit to Miysore palace, which was a bit overcrowded, I truly enjoyed visiting the quite and charming Tipu’s palace, the nearby temple and the fascinating market in Mysore at the end. I can strongly recommend this tour.
