An amazing sunset is just the beginning of a dazzling evening under the stars at Maui's longest-running luau, where beach-side seating, free-flowing drinks, all-you-care-to-eat buffet dinner, and authentic Polynesian dance combine for the perfect Hawaiian evening.
Your evening begins with a cold beverage and photo opportunities as you enjoy watching the sun dip behind the horizon of the Pacific Ocean. The dinner buffet features authentic Hawaiian fare including kalua pork cooked in a traditional imu, an underground oven that cooks the meat to tender perfection. There's even a kids' buffet featuring chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and Maui potato chips.
After dinner, the stage comes alive with rhythmic drumming, traditional Hawaiian, Tahitian, Samoan, and Maori performances and thrilling fire-knife dances. With vivid choreography and mesmerizing music, the show does more than entertain—it also tells the stories and legends of the islands.

We did the VIP experience at the Myths of Maui Luau last night and I can confidently say—it was 100% worth it. VIP entry still has a line, but here’s the key: we arrived a little before the VIP lineup time so we were right at the front—and that made the whole experience feel seamless. Once they opened, we breezed through the buffet and bar with no lines and had plenty of time to enjoy all the extras before it got crowded—things like the kids getting Polynesian-style tattoos, family photos, and even trying out the fire-knife spinning equipment (so fun to see before the show!). The setting is absolutely stunning—right on the beach with that classic Maui breeze. We did get a light sprinkle at one point (note: there’s no cover), but honestly it didn’t take away from the experience. In fact, we had a full rainbow stretched across the sky for a good part of dinner, which felt pretty magical. The food was genuinely great—everyone in our family found something they loved, including my 12- and 14-year-old boys (which says a lot). The cocktails were also fantastic—definitely not an afterthought like at some events. The show itself was spectacular—engaging, high-energy, and just the right length. It never dragged, and the fire dancing finale was incredible. Logistically, everything was seamless. We stayed in a resort about 10 minutes away and Ubered back and forth with no issues. Even though lines (including VIP) do form, getting there early put us right at the front—and once inside, VIP guests are escorted straight to their assigned table—no stress, no scrambling. They even orient you right away (bathrooms included, which as a parent, I appreciated immediately!). Overall, this was such a fun, easy, and memorable night for our whole family. Highly recommend both the luau and the VIP upgrade—you won’t regret it.

VIP Tickets worth the price, assigned table, great view, dedicated server. The show was great. A bit long for younger grandchildren.

A bit of a rainy start but it ended as buffet was served. Buffet was OK - the chicken was excellent the rest about average. There was open bar but only 1 bartender for about 200+ patrons - quite slow service. The entertainment was very good.

We attended the Myths of Maui Luau on March 17th, just after all the crazy rain, and had such a great experience. It was raining at the beginning, but the entire staff was incredibly accommodating and positive. They were out there drying off tables and chairs even while it was still sprinkling, which we really appreciated. Everyone stayed upbeat, friendly, and welcoming despite the weather. Thankfully, the rain finally stopped, and we were able to fully enjoy the incredible performance. The show was absolutely worth it and made for a memorable evening. The food and drinks were both good, and the price seemed in line with the other luaus we looked into before choosing this one. Overall, we had a wonderful time and were really impressed by how hard the staff worked to make sure everyone still had a great experience, even with the rain. We would definitely recommend Myths of Maui Luau!

This dinner show is the worst experience i have ever had in my life ! If I could put a Zero I would have done it . It’s definitely not the value of 200 USD maybe less than that ! I feel like it was really a tourist trap overall experience ! 1 - I bought my 200 usd for a 3 hours or so dinner show from my hotel . We arrived there and after 40 minutes waiting standing we were given a basic tiny shell necklace and a card to assign our table, very far from the stages. The place I was outside , no cover in case of sudden rain and the tables were picnic tables, no table cloths, no light on table and no cushions . Very basic comfort setting for that price again ! 2 - the food was very average, no special Hawaiian food (tuna cubes, pasta salad, chicken, porc shredded , fish , rice, and two desserts, and we did not have time to go back to take our desert . It poured cats and dogs in between ! They had already packed things away ! 3- The show : the dances were very short and very similar one an other despite pretending they were from différent countries of the Pacific . The costumes were not fantastic at all . Only the few minutes of Fire dances at the end were really worth! But what I will remember is that the show lasted in the end less than an hour !!! And it was an absolute nightmare to have to watch the show under a rain poncho ! it was pouring and those dancers were dancing under the pouring rain !!! Probably adding the danger of falling ! Unbelievable! I find that this does not show a good image of Hawaï watching those poor people dancing in those conditions . I am sure that this show could have been done earlier to avoid the rain which was predictable (sky was so dark ) instead of making us loose time queuing and waiting once sitting ! It clearly shows a real mistake of management in many manners and therefore I don’t recommend it ! It’s far too expensive for being treated like this . Please save your money for a more professional show elsewhere in the future !

The show highlighted different dances of Polynesian culture. It was done very professionally and the lighting used added to visual pleasure of the whole show.

Fantastic Luau! Great performance, authentic music, dance, descriptions of songs, meal, sundown views, organization, and well worth the time! Humbled and grateful that the performers shared their island, culture, and history with us.
