Starting our trip from Nafplion, our first stop is the archaeological site of Mycenae. We will travel to the mythical Kingdom of Agamemnon, where one of the most brilliant cultures of Greek prehistory, the Mycenaean civilization, developed. We will then head to the Lions Gate, the monumental entrance of the palaces. Next, we will see the Cyclopean walls around the Acropolis, and the tholos tombs of Atreus and Clytemnestra’s, which are all must-see attractions for lovers of the ancient world. We continue the tour to ancient Epidaurus, where we explore the ancient theatre of one of the most famous archaeological monuments in Greece. We will also visit the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, which was the centre of healing serious diseases for the whole of ancient Greece. Many monuments developed around it, most notably the temple of Asklepios, Tholos and others.

Our driver Kostas was very helpful. He was friendly and prompt. He is not a tour guide. He is driver who picks you up from your hotel, drives you to the designated ancient sites then finally back to your hotel.

Said there was an audio tour which was a lie. Driver only. The driver tried to call the company they didn’t answer. This is not acceptable. I have a hire car I could have driven my self. Poor driver was embarrassed and played a 2min clip from YouTube to try make the best of the situation.

We had a great time in the Nafplio, Epidavros & Mycenae areas because with ended up with Cristo. He was knowledgeable of the areas. Cristo was friendly and courteous. He also very helpful - he was more into sharing rather than the financial aspect. My wife and I are so thankful that we booked and had Cristo with us!

Its was a good visit. We ended up purchasing an audio guide since the driver that picks you up does not go with you on the archeological site, and does not really share any information about it during the drive either. The ruins are amazing, but I wished we had a live guide with us, to better understand what we were looking at. The site are rather large and well worth the visit. Its hard to believe these structures date back some 1600 before Christ. Truly amazing history, tones or antiquities, great museum.

Very nice driver took us to important historical sites in the area which would have been much harder to find on our own. Having a private car was really nice, we could go at our own pace.
