Nagoya Castle
Nagoya Castle is right in the heart of Nagoya, and is very famous for its golden shachihoko (a mythical creature with a tiger's head and carp's body) figures on the roof. Ieyasu Tokugawa, the first shogun who established the Edo shougunate, built it in 1521. The main part of the castle was rebuilt after the war, and now you can climb to the top to feel like being a shogun to govern the country.
Atsuta Jingu Shrine
Atsuta Jingu Shrine is the second highest rank shrine of Japan, founded in the 8th century. It occupies a big area with huge woods in the metropolitan atomosphere of Nagoya, and there are always many people coming for all kinds of prayers. The woods are full of sacred and reverent feelings, and makes you feel something divine inside yourself, too.

Nagoya was an awesome tour thanks to Sammy. She made the trip worth wild from her easy translation to guiding us through the local transit system. She made it a very productive and worth wild day for which the family learned a lot in Nagoya. Thumbs up all around.

The tour was amazing!!! Yoshi contacted us right away after booking and answered all my questions to help design a personalized itinerary. We were able to see everything we wanted to see!!! Yoshi explained everything in detail and was full of intriguing information. My son enjoyed asking him many questions and Yoshi was happy to answer all of them! I would highly recommend this tour and Yoshi!!!

Toshie was a wonderful guide. She helped us easily travel to the locations and helped point out cool areas/locations that most tourists may miss. Thanks to Toshie, we were able to navigate to several locations with less stress.

If you are on a cruise, this is the excursion for you. Half the price of the same excursion that the ship offers, and iwe had a personalized experience instead of being in a large group off the ship. Our guide, Yoko, was kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He allowed to pick our sites and then gave us lots of history during the tour. 10/10 recommend
