What To Expect
Giraffe Centre
Breeding of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe is one of the main programmes of the center. The calves are then released into the wild at two to three-years-old when they are independent enough to survive. So far we have released more than 40 giraffes into safe game parks and conservancies across the country. Working together with Kenya Wildlife Service’s (KWS) veterinary doctors to keep the tower in good health.
Kibera
Kibra or local known kibera initially start a free land to southern Sudanese soldiers who facilitated in fighting for independence, currently offers affordable ways of living for families who work in the industrial area and the local Toi Market as well as the small businesses. Communities are closely related by religion, business Associations and neibourhoods. Meet local guides who have grown and live in the slum. Visit Women Organization, Children Homes and Men who recycle padlocks to ornaments. A different way of life where most may not be used to. Its all safe and feel free to interact with locals. Welcome

5.00Meeting the Giraffes might have been the highlight of our trip!! Obed made sure to arrange everything and we were able to interreact with them freely. It was an unforgettable experience. Our guide there knew everything about Giraffes. We tried to stump him with questions but to no avail. He had an answer for every one!! Highly recommend!
