An easy, relaxing way to enjoy a part of Nairobi

5.00Our driver, Joseph, was very courtious, professional, looked out for our safety. We were unable to experience the KICC Tower, due to road closures, because one of the Kenyan oppositional leaders died. We did, however, see the Nairobi Museum. The guide was interesting & well informed. Museum items were nicely identified. Next we went on to a community craft business. All items are where handmade by 4000 different community members. The Kobe Bead Factory is a small business employing 2000 women who make the clay based beads from start to finish. And, of course, I was able to purchase a piece of jewelry from their retail store. I was told you may also purchase on-line. The Giraffe Center was our highlight. Our guide, Joyce, was outstanding & knowledgeable. Feeding the Rothschild Giraffe was fun. The Giraffe Manor could be seen thru the trees & brush. Just driving thru the streets & expressways gave us a better understanding of this area. Our tour was a good way to enjoy our morning into the afternoon.
