Great Nanjing Day Trip to Purple Mountain and Hot Springs

5.00Our family of four had a wonderful full-day private tour of Purple Mountain and Tangshan Hot Springs with our guide, Eleven, and our driver. Eleven was knowledgeable, spoke good English, and was friendly and patient throughout the day. We enjoyed visiting the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, walking The Sacred Way, and seeing the deer at Changsheng Deer Park. She also brought us to a yummy local Nanjing restaurant for lunch, which we really appreciated. The highlight was Tangshan Hot Springs, with many different pools! Eleven handled all the arrangements and waited patiently for us at the hot springs, even though the original 8-hour tour ended up running into extended time. Our driver was excellent. He drove smoothly, checked on our comfort from time to time, and adjusted to our needs when we wanted the air-conditioning on. The car was very comfortable and even had a massage function, which made the journeys very relaxing. Overall, we felt very well taken care of and would gladly recommend this tour, Eleven, and the driver to anyone visiting Nanjing.

5.00Walking up snow-laden purple mountain; swift and painless cable car ride back down. Serenity of Ming tomb Garden and monuments. Great local food for lunch. The guide managed to find a relatively quiet hot spring despite the crowds of the new year long week end.
