We just came back from our day with Emi, and what a day it was. Emi was both knowledgeable and friendly, very flexible to accommodate all our requests and went out of her way to make our day memorable one. Time flew and when we had to say goodbye we felt sorry we couldn’t ask Emi to join us for the next two days Japan.

Emi is a great guide. It would have been impossible for us to see as much as we did without her. Incredibly knowledgable and knows all the short cuts and how to maximize the experience. Absolutely worth it!

My tour guide was Emi, and she was the perfect guide ever! She picked me up from the hotel on the morning of the tour and accompanied me throughout the day. She gave me lots of tips that weren't even related to the tour, like which restaurant to eat dinner at, based on my taste in food. And she gave me lots of general information about Japanese culture and traditions in general. Beyond that, she had a lot of knowledge about Naoshima Island, its buildings and architecture, its history, and of course all the museums and artworks there. She conveyed the knowledge professionally and with a lot of humor, and i had a super fun day with her. She is a smart, funny and interesting woman. Very generous. She gave me a personal gift when we met and a map of the island that she made herself! She took pictures of me throughout the day, and I really felt like I was touring with an old friend. Also she accompanied me until I got in a taxi back to the hotel. Highly recommended!!!

It became obvious that to undertake this trip without a guide would be difficult EMI was excellent in every way and made the trip relatively easy and very enjoyable We would recommend her to others

It was fantastic. EMI is a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable but also friendly funny and kind. I loved spending time with her. She made my day at Naoshima memorable in all the best ways. She had planned ahead to ensure I had the best experience. The only issue was that I didn’t realise you need cash on these little islands. She offered to lend me some but I managed to get by. I would recommend Emi to any traveller. She speaks beautiful English.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Naoshima with Emi. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind. We were 4 senior citizens and could not have visited Naoshima without her expertise

Emiko (Emy) was a wonderful tour guide for 3 Australian ladies visiting Naoshima Art Island. She was very insightful and knew how to miss all the long queues and where to be at the right time. Which bus when. We also walked between a few venues but it was well worth the effort. We had a beautiful day with a lovely passionate well spoken Emiko.

We were so fortunate to have EMIKO (Emy) as our tour guide around the main art installations on the island. It’s definitely the best way to see the art works, through the eyes of a passionate and informative guide. We were also very lucky as even though it rained, we were able to fit in a few extra sites not normally included. Emy speaks great English and was easy to understand. Her beautiful personality added to her charm and enhanced the overall experience.

Emi's the best! She was our guide for a day tour to Naoshima. We were so grateful for her strategic guidance through crowds and lines, keeping the amount of waiting we had to do to a minimum. Her knowledge of Naoshima and of the art and architecture we were seeing added a fine dimension of richness and depth to our experience. She was friendly, cheerful and interesting company, always thinking ahead, ready to help and do whatever she could do to make our tour both efficient and special. She never tired of our questions and we learned so much about Naoshima, the artists whose work we were seeing, and about Japan. She also made our ticket reservations well in advance so we were able to see Sugimoto Gallery and enjoy tea and mochi there. We highly recommend Emi!

This island is very pretty and is home to a triennial of contemporary art of high standard. 3 hours by train from Osaka and its international exhibition, it is a nice place to visit.

Even though it was cold and rainy, Emi took excellent care of us and made several advanced reservations for us so that we got to do everything we wanted. Probably due to the weather, lines were not as long as Emi expected but we were very happy and can highly recommend Emi as your tour guide.
