Join us on a full-day, small-group wine tour of the Spectacular Napa Valley wine country! You’ll visit three charming, back roads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light hearted and truly memorable experiences. Your guide will set up a tasty picnic lunch for you at a picturesque winery. Once the tour concludes, you will be dropped off from where you were picked up. The tour typically has 8-12 guests on board.

Your tour will begin with pickup from your Napa Valley hotel. Where you are staying will define the tour region that you will be visiting. If your accommodations are outside of the winery region, you can arrange to meet us a general meeting spot. You’ll visit three charming, backroads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. This is not a smarmy or touristy activity. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers.

5.00Absolutely outstanding!! This is our second experience with Platypus and Dustin curated two days for us—one for Napa, the other for Sonoma. We wanted smaller wineries with wine we could not get at home. Mike our driver was awesome—humorous and filled with lots of local history to share!!! We will come back to wine country and we will definitely call Platypus!!!!

5.00We had a wonderful day! Excellent communication prior to the trip. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The wineries he took us too were amazing and varied. Our box lunch was very tasty. I am so glad I took this tour for my Napa visit! Highly recommend!

The description the company has for the vibe of the people your tour with is dead on - everyone was fun, funny and friendly. There was no pretense or attempts at snobbery! It was just good spirit, good company and good wine.

5.00What a great day! I loved all of it. It was a great group on a comfy bus and Louis was a fantastic guide. He picked out 3 beautiful wineries to visit. The tastings at each were memorable and it was easy to buy wine to ship home. I would definitely book this tour again.

2.00We thought we signed up for tours not tasting. The last Vineyard was like sitting in a bar. They didn't not discuss the making of wines. They just poured wine into glasses for tasting. The tour guide was very friendly. If it wasn't for the tour driver we would have gotten an Uber to go back to the hotel. You company needs to describe the tour as wine tasting.
