We had a wonderful time on this excursion! Our guide, Soichiro, was knowledgeable, confident and kind. He answered all our questions when he could and even made (delicious) recommendations for lunch! Highlight for me was seeing and interacting with the deer (watch out for their antlers!) and the giant Buddha was breathtaking. This was worth the trip from Kyoto - not to be missed!

Kota was such a fantastic tour guide - very knowledgeable and clear in his explanations of the history of the area, the temples and the deer. Lots of walking, however it was at a leisurely pace and most of the areas are flat. I always have plenty of questions, and Kota was more than happy to answer which often led to interesting discussions. I learnt so much from Kota - and this is the beauty of taking a tour. Highly recommend!

We met our guide Ayame at Kyoto station nice and early and we were pleased to find she spoke English. She was very clear explaning everything and was extremely easy to talk to. We enjoyed the tour as we felt Ayame took us to all the places we needed to see, and as we’d got there nice and early we avoided all the crowds. Ayame was great company and showed us to a really good restaurant afterwards. Great all round.

This was an amazing tour. Soichiro was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the history and background of all the things we saw, including the Todai-ji temple and the bowing deer in Nara. There was a lot of walking involved but he was very patient and kind with all of us and even gave us recommendations for food and other things to do in Kyoto. He was a fantastic tour guide and I would highly recommend him and this tour!

This was the best tour of our trip!Soichiro was the best guide he made sure everyone felt comfortable. He was so informative it was so helpful to learn about all the places we visited. We walked a lot but didn’t even notice because Soichiro kept everyone engaged. He was great with my children who normally get bored during these tours but they all thought this tour was the best. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. He even helped us get back to Kyoto and gave us great recommendations on food and the rest of the trip.Cannot recommend this tour enough
