My passion for songwriting and my ability to connect with others through music is what makes my experience unique. You don't need any musical talent or vocal ability to work with me. Of course, if you do have those skills, it's definitely a plus! But my focus is on creating music that is authentic and vulnerable regardless of your musical background.
Whether you come to me with a blank canvas or with ideas already in mind for what you want to write, I am always excited to embark on the songwriting journey with you. Together, we can create something truly special.

What To Expect
Do you have a great melody idea, a hilarious story or a catchy song title in your back pocket? Now’s your chance to turn it into a song! Experience a true Nashville co-write with an experienced songwriter. You’ll discover what it’s like to be in the writing room and create your own song! Bring as much or as little as you’d like to the table and I’ll guide you through the process of crafting lyrics, melodies and music. I’ll let you in on the secrets to writing great songs and answer questions about the business. I may even have some talented friends stop by whom you might recognize from The Voice or American Idol! No prior experience is necessary. At the end of the experience we’ll create a work tape, which simply put is a "rough" recording of your song with a vocal and instrument backing, at the end of the session for you to take home (digitally). If you’re interested in having your song professionally produced, then I'm always happy to connect you with several producers I know outside of this experience. These can be done in person or over video/voice calls. Everyone has a story to tell. Let’s put yours to music!

5.00Wow… Jessica was awesome. She really understands the intricacies of songwriting. We started by getting to know each other’s musical backgrounds, then moved into foundational songwriting concepts and terminology. From there, she walked me through the professional process she uses, and before long, we were off to the races constructing a song. Jessica struck the perfect collaborative balance. She took my initial concept and helped shape it into a clear song structure. Along the way, she demonstrated how she uses industry tools to analyze and refine key words, and asked thoughtful, probing questions that helped me deepen and expand my lyrics. It was a great experience and absolutely worth the money.

5.00My time with Jennifer was so amazing. My husband booked this experience as a gift and I was blown away by the amazing time we had. We shared so much and I was able to express my desire and needs for our church. We co wrote a beautiful song that I plan on sharing and will continue writing. My goal is to write again. After taking a few years off, I'm looking forward to growing in my gifting. Jennifer poured into me and for that I'm so Grateful!

5.00We booked this experience for our 12 and 10yo sons not really knowing exactly what it would be like. Jessica immediately welcomed them into her home and made them comfortable. Her patience and enthusiasm was evident from the first moment. By the time we came back 3 hours later to get them it was clear they had an absolute blast and that this was one of the best experiences they’ve ever had. You really knocked it out of the park. We are so happy that you gave them the freedom to write about whatever they wanted no matter how silly, their voices really come through in the lyrics. your passion for music and songwriting is contagious. Thank you again for such an amazing experience for our boys and for helping create one of our proudest moments as parents. Hearing and seeing our boys working together as a collective brings so much joy to us. This will be a moment we talk about forever.

5.00We were in town for only a few days and came across this experience. Our daughter Katy, writes her own songs and plays piano, so we thought this would be a special experience for her... and we were absolutely right! Jessica is so warm and welcoming and made Katy feel right at home. In a very relaxed and laid back environment, Jessica helped her work through her material, offering suggestions along the way - knowing when something already worked and offering suggestions on how to improve other areas. In addition, Jessica described her own experience as a Nashville songwriter and shared her thoughts on what she feels works and doesn't work in the industry today. She was very supportive of Katy's unique style and allowed her to take the lead on what they worked on together, which Katy really appreciated. Katy will be moving to Nashville later this year and will definitely work with Jessica in the future. We highly recommend looking her up if you are in the area!

5.00Jessica was amazing. She really helped me extract my vision and taught me new strategies for songwriting. Our session was 1:1 and she really dove deeply into the material and the industry basics. It was well worth the money and it was a unique birthday experience. We wrote an really fantastic song together.

5.00As a singer my entire life it has always been a goal of mine to write my own song. I tried countless times but never knew exactly how put all of ideas together in a way that moved me. This experience was gifted to me and was by far the best gift I ever received. With one session and one additional zoom session Jessica helped me write a song start to finish that I am thrilled with. Jessica was warm, kind, inspiring and knew exactly how and when to push me and the result was incredible. I can’t wait to record it in a studio and work with Jessica again on another song.

She walked me through basic song structure, writing tools, and musical foundations. In one session, we created a full song (melody, lyrics, and chord progression) from start to finish.
