Nevidio Canyon is located in the central part of Montenegro at the foothill of Durmitor in Dobri Do, 55 km away from Nikšić. The length of the canyon is 3.5 km, the height 350 - 400 m; depth of 0.5 - 25m. The entrance to the canyon is at 935 m while the exit is at 810 m above sea level. The width is at least one meter in individual places, so some parts can only be passed with the alpine equipment. Due to vertical rocks, the sun's rays can’t reach the bottom, so the greater part of the canyon is in the eternal shadow. The name of Nevidio speaks of his mystery, because some parts do not even see the sky. He is known as the last conquered canyon - in 1965, until that time he had been "Not seen". It is one of the most impassable canyons in Europe. Today, he undoubtedly represents a unique attraction, and the unrepeatable cruel beauty that he kepts is a sufficient reason to visit this incredible jewel of Montenegro.

What To Expect

Departure in the morning. Driving to the Nevidio canyon – duration of the journey 2 – 3 hours (depending on the place – city of departure). Check – in restaurant. Introducing, coffee / tea, breakfast (donuts, homemade pie, eggs, sandwiches, homemade sour milk…) – approx. 45 min. Preparing for canyoning, equipping participants (canyoning shoes, canyoning belt, helmet, neoprene suit and neoprene socks) – 15 min, and after the briefing entry into the canyon. Start canyoning with a licensed guide (duration 3 – 4 hours) – jumps and walk through a special hidden deep world. A total of 12 to 15 jumps from 2 – 3 to 7 – 8 m high. During the canyoning we make 1 to 2 breaks where the participants receive refreshments (homemade brandy, energy drink, juice, chocolate). Taking photos and videos which participants receive later on DVD. Going out of the canyon, dressing in the dressing room. Lunch at the restaurant in a natural setting near the canyon – traditional Montenegrin specialties – kačamak or cicvara (vegetarian dish) or grilled meat – aprox. 1h and 30 min. Return. The end of the tour.
