As we leave Santa Fe, we have decided our food tour was the highlight of our trip! Jose, was awesome and had a plethora of knowledge about the history, food, culture and tequila of New Mexico. We highly recommend. We went into our tour thinking the trip to NM was a one and done. We will now be coming back with what we have learned.

Before our Santa Fe travel, we read numerous articles and watched videos on the food scene. We felt we knew it well, but we had so much more to learn. It was so worth our money & time to do the tour on our first day in Santa Fe.

I felt that this was mediocre. The food was nothing special and we went to restaurants that I definitely would not have on my “to go” places to eat. The sampling sizes were just right. I felt that the margarita tasting with each tasting was interesting since it offered a variety of tastes at each restaurant. The tour guide enjoyed hearing himself talk and our questions were quickly dismissed or challenged with him going back to his voice box. He was knowledgeable but I got tired of him defending the food after he asked for our opinion. Perhaps my palate is a bit more upscale so this wasn’t exactly for me. The owner was communicative and pleasant to deal with.

Jorge was an exceptional guide. Born and raised in Santa Fe, he shares his intense interest and knowledge about everything Santa Fe. We enjoyed the extra time he allowed our group and the supplemental materials he texted to us. Great food and learning.

I wish I had something nice to say but this was not a pleasant experience. The food was mediocre at best, 1st stop 2 tamales, 2nd stop one small street taco 3rd stop a small cup of soup, 4th stop a churro for dessert all for $150. NOT WORTH IT. The guide spoke like he was in a race to the finish line. All 4 of us left disappointed by the food and and the whole experience

Very fun and informative. Jose was very knowledgeable about the history of Santa Fe and the culinary scene. Plenty of food and margaritas! Definitely would recommend. Thank you Jose for a great time!

Our time spent with Jose really elevated our Santa Fe experience! The food and restaurants were all great local gems, especially the margaritas! But the unexpected element was Jose’s extensive knowledge of the history of the area which he enthusiastically shared with us at every turn! Then to add to the wonderful time we spent with him, he sent a text with the best local restaurants and must see things to do. I have taken food tours in several US cities and this one by far has the best host in Jose!!

We had a wonderful time on this walking tour! There were only four of us on the tour as well as Jose our guide. Jose did an excellent job showing us around Santa Fe, pointing out landmarks, sharing history, and answering our questions. Timing was amazing—we visited three restaurants. We were seated immediately and the food was delivered by efficient and friendly restaurant staff. The food was delicious at all three locations (appetizer first, entree at next stop, dessert at the final stop). This was truly a wonderful and fun tour. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!
