Discover the history and mystery of the French Quarter, also known as the Vieux Carre. See prominent landmarks such as the St. Louis Cathedral, French Market, Spanish Cabildo, Pontalba Buildings, Place D'Armes, and Napoleon House. Learn about important events such as the Great Fire of 1788, Battle of New Orleans, etc. Admire the architecture of Creole Esplanade, Old Slave Quarters, French Coffee Houses, Spanish Patios, and Ironwork Balconies

4.00Jim was our mule and Charles was our driver on a beautiful afternoon in New Orleans. Its easy to find your meeting point as it's in front of St Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. Iconic. The tour was less about seeing attractions and more about seeing the area. Charles was friendly but hard to understand-and we were in the first row. He didn't have microphone. You're not supposed to bring alcohol on the tour (we didn't know that and had just bought to-go drinks, but no one seemed to mind). Overall it's a laid back tour and fun way to spend an hour when you're tired of walking.
