  I was surprised, and maybe shd have done more research but there is no outdoor obs deck here- it’s totally indoors and through glass. Views were good but this was the worst of all the obs decks we did and we did Edge, Empire State, Top of the Rock and this. Save your money and do Edge or Top of Rock.

  My advice to visitors is dont do two if you're on a tight budget and if you want the greatest vibe, with friendly staff, do the outdoor Edge. This is still a great indoor viewing experience and offers a 360o view of the city but in comparison to The Edge it was over too quickly and lacked atmosphere. Its always amazing to be so high up and the views are remarkable, if you decide to do that second viewing experience with a different outlook over the city.

  We thought we would “just go up” with an elevator, but it was a complete experience, from the entrance untill we got up!! We weren’t expecting that. The view was amazing!!! The moment the curtains went up literally took my breath away! The pools of tower one and two with all the names in the parc were really impressive.

  I paid $34 after tax and fee, which is cheap for an NYC observation deck by any standard. However, my group had to watch multiple multimedia presentations that were absolutely forgettable. Combined with a pointless check-in procedure, I spent nearly 10 minutes before actually seeing anything. One thing I really disliked was that they charged an unavoidable junk fee, whether booking online or buying the ticket in person. The listed tax amount didn't look right and was more suspicious in the context of the junk fee. The purchase process at the ticket machine also tries to upsell you at every stage of ticketing. Finally, the lighting conditions were not ideal for photo taking. However, the views were excellent as expected, which makes for it these shortcomings.

  Spent a pleasant morning in Downtown New York at the top of The One World Observatory. A regular ticket was $44 ( before tax) or £39, which is pretty standard for this type of trip. The elevator experience going up and down is in itself is pretty cool 😎. Especially coming down…worth videoing it if you can. It was a low cloud day when I visited, you could see enough to make an awesome experience. There is a cafe to grab a sandwich or snack, or a cafe if you want to be “fancy”, also the obligatory gift shop to buy a fridge magnet. I spent a good hour or so just wondering round, there are places to sit as well. For some where to send some time, and have a snack, you could not go wrong with a visit here 😀

  We got the all inclusive package. It was about $10 less than buying directly. We had priority line and security both going up and down. We went on Friday and during the day so less important. But makes sense if you are going in evening or weekend. The included iPad was nice. You can use it to see what you are looking at and tap on building to learn more about it. If you don’t have it, there are some QR codes to learn some stories and there is an hourly short talk about nyc at South marker. I thought the talk was good. I grew up in nyc and still learned rid bits. The view was great. We had a crystal clear day and could see for miles in every direction. The $15 pp credit could be combined so we got a $30 hat for my husband. You can also use credit at restaurant/cafe. This is definitely one of the best places to see the whole city plus status of liberty etc. liked that they didn’t try to sell you on photos. it’s expensive but similar to other cities that have this. It’s close to the oculus, Brookfield mall, and the riverside.
