Anna provided a fascinating and informative tour that included areas of the city I hadn't seen before, like Ouseburn and Jesmond Dene, following mainly traffic-free routes or segregated cycle lanes, which made for a relaxing excursion.

I’ve done tours all over the world and this three-hour bike tour, led by Anna, was among the best. I saw parts of Newcastle I wouldn’t have otherwise, with historical insights that brought the city’s past to life.

I took the Posh Parks Cycle Tour with my two children aged 12 and 15 and it was FANTASTIC. I'd thoroughly recommend it. You start on the waterfront then head up through a cool neighbourhood called Ouseburn, along lovely riverside paths and past waterfalls in Jesmond Dene then back to the city via the Town Moor. If you didn't do this tour you'd have no idea that such beautiful places and pretty scenery lay so close to the city centre. Our guide Anna was so passionate and knowledgeable about the area and held the kids' interest the whole way round. We all learned so much and had a really fun time doing it. Anna even brought along Gregg's sausage rolls (Newcastle is fiercely proud of the fact Gregg's comes from there) for a mid-tour break which was a lovely touch. The route is quite gentle with only a few short hills so it's perfect for all ages and abilities. If there's one thing you do on a family break to Newcastle, make it this. .

I contacted the Newcastle Cycling Tour to book a last minute tour for a group of 8. Alek's was the person i dealt with and he was amazing at organizing everything for us. Very quick to respond to emails and dealt with all our queries, even down to ensuring everyone got the correct sized bikes. On the day the weather wasn't great but we were given a few options in case the weather didn't improve but luckily we got a small break in the rain, enough for us to start the tour. It rained a little on the tour but it didn't dampen our spirits. Anna was our guide and she was great. She took us to some nice spots and explained with great enthusiasm the history of Newcastle. I think in total we cycled about 14km but nothing too strenuous and there were plenty of stops along the way, including some time at the parks cafe for a quick hot drink and a surprise sausage roll. On the tour Anna gave suggestions on additional places to visit and places to eat which was very helpful. Bikes, helmet and water provided. I highly recommended this tour company.
