We have been to Newport many times before, but never by trolley and never during the holidays. Would highly recommend this tour. Russ, our tour guide was excellent. He had high energy and was spitting out Newport facts throughout. He was great and definitely made the ride enjoyable. Getting to visit The Breakers was a bonus! Would highly recommend!

I just want to share my experience with my Tour. I was with my 2 friends ( 1 was Elderly } It was my first time in Rhode Island and was referred by sometime to take the tour of the Mansions. I went on November 29th, The Newport Travel Trolley. They explained to come 20 minutes early for our 1:00 tour at Platform 2. We were there at 12:40. the tour bus arrived at 12:50 (which was fine). My issue I had was with the pick up time at the Breakers. Granted we were sitting in the back of the bus. I heard the driver say to be back at 3:40. I did not hear him say we will be leaving at exactly 3:40. I feel he should have explained it to the passengers more clearly that he leaves at 3:40. We arrived back at 3:45. Thinking it was the 20 minute early time. { No Bus} He had left us behind. I even left a Bag up front with him with beverages to hold for me! I do not have a issue with leaving at 3:40. I understand they run on a schedule. I have an issue with Not Explaining the Pick UP Time procedure better, and explaining if you are not here on time , we will leave. I was confused, ( thinking we left at 4:00 } disappointed and upset. My Aunt was shaken up also. I sent a text to the Driver with No Response, Eventually, after 4:00 I called an Uber to take us back. Maybe, I did not hear him correctly? { Not Sure } I know you do alot of tours every day. My humble suggestion is to make sure all passengers are aware of the Pick Up Procedure at the Breakers. On a Positive Note- The Tour Itself was Great. The Driver explained everything well and added humour with his Narration. I enjoyed seeing all the mansions and The Breakers Decorated for Christmas.

Trolley Rob was so informative! This is nice to do first before you go explore on your own. Enjoyed doing the tour that included the Breakers ticket. You get dropped off at the mansion for 1 1/2 hours then picked back up. Lots of fun!

Trolley Rob gave an excellent tour around Newport. For reference, we also did the self guided tour the next day, and it wasn’t nearly as much information given, as what Trolley Rob knew. We went on the tour last Saturday and Rob really had so much information to tell us. It was a great tour. 10 out of 10!

The tour will drive you around some towns in Newport. The trolley was very easy to find (in the parking lot). Very organized. The guide is very knowledgeable. Though he talked too fast, he wasn't boring.
