Travelers will have a chance to stop at 10 top sites for photos including the White House, US Capitol, Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, World War II Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and more. 1.00The driver was great! The tour guide was the worst I’ve ever seen. Drove by many monuments with nothing more than a mention it was nearby and we’d circle back to it, and never would. We were frequently confused on what/where she was talking about because she didn’t give any details. She gave long winded speeches on things unrelated to the tour (I.e., 8th graders) and her opinion on those things. “Those people are frustrating.” “That building is U-G-L-Y.” She gave political speeches from her personal opinion OFTEN. I learned more fun and interesting things from other peoples tour guides at the monuments since ours stayed on the bus the whole time. When we left without tipping, she verbally expressed her disgust with us to the whole group over the microphone. She berated people to go to the bathroom, even though they told them they didn’t have to go REPEATEDLY.

5.00My husband and I visited Washington, D.C. for the first time and decided to take a night tour of the monuments — and it was absolutely amazing! Seeing everything beautifully lit up at night was such a memorable experience. Our tour guide was fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable and full of interesting facts about each memorial, including historical dates and stories. It was impressive how much he knew! We visited so many iconic spots: the U.S. Capitol, White House, World War II Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and of course, got to see the stunning Washington Monument glowing from nearly every stop. I highly recommend this night tour to anyone visiting D.C., especially first-timers — it’s such a special and beautiful way to experience the city!
