We booked a trip to Ninh Binh through Viator and we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in the old quarter. The tour included a visit to a temple, a 30 minute bike ride (on rickety bikes!), a lunch stop (which it has to be said was average, although I don’t think they have a choice as to where to take us), a 2 hour rowing boat ride on the river at Trang An which was stunning taking us through caves and around the beautiful scenery (although be prepared for there to be lots of other boats!) and ending at the 500 step climb (if you want!) to the Mua caves. Jenny, our tour guide, was lovely.

This was an amazing tour for experiencing Ninh Binh. Our guide Lee was both hilarious and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun, had plenty of time at each stop, met some great people, and learned a lot along the way. I highly recommend this tour for a one day trip.

Great trip with Hung and team..Very knowledgeable amd attentive guide. Only small issue was drop off which felt a little dangerous to cross dual carrigeway, but Hung helped us across..

Everything about the tour company/guide/transportation was 5/5. However, the entire day is a huge tourist trap (which isn’t the fault of the tour company). The temple was just a recreated temple and not very exciting, the lunch buffet is very poor quality, and the bamboo rafting was packed with hundreds and hundreds of boats. For us, the last stop at Mua Cave was the highlight and the view from the top is great, but there are hundreds of people all combining to the top at once. If we returned to Vietnam, I would skip Nihn Bin but would happily use this tour company to visit somewhere different.

Great experience, beautiful scenery. Bike riding through the country side was an awesome experience. There are options for people of all activity levels. Lunch was very good with many options available. The transportation to and from Hanoi is modern and very comfortable. WiFi on the bus was nice.

Linh was fantastic today- so much knowledge and care for her group. The climb up the 500 steps was amazing and the boat ride was so peaceful. Definitely recommend.

The tour guide was lovely. Enjoyed the tour. It could get bit tiring by the end of it. There could be more food included, only 1 meal for almost 12 hours of tour is bit too less

Our tour guide Raymond was great, but overall this was a bit ordinary, the bus was late to start with and was in desperate need of a service, lots of pick ups and drop offs slows everything down, unfortunately for us one of the tourists was a real a-hole from Tunisia that kept smoking when we were trying to move on. The boat ride was way too long, amazing but really long and hot. The best thing is the climb up Mua Cave and the surroundings. I would suggest booking a small group or even your own car so you can dictate the timing of things yourself.
