This way, we can maximize our time and fully immerse ourselves in the experience. ● Starting our morning hike up to Mua cave early helps us beat the heat of the day. Mua Caves
After a 2-hour car journey from Hanoi, it's time for us to engage in some physical activity by ascending the magnificent natural Great Wall of Mua mountain, as well as exploring the Mua cave. This location offers the most optimal spot to admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding area. Additionally, embarking on an early hike would allow us to avoid the oppressive heat and the large crowds that gather later in the day. As the day progresses, the heat intensifies and the site becomes heavily thronged by hundreds of thousands of tourists, all due to its viral fame. If you don’t like the touristy hike, alternatively, we have a 300-step, rugged hidden gem hike at the holy and secret mountain where you could feel the serenity of nature and breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, forest, and surrounding villages.

5.00Great day trip to Ninh Binh with Hanoi Backstreet Tours and Q as our entertaining and informative guide. Only 5 people on the tour, the transport was very comfortable with no unnecessary stops. The Ninh Binh area was beautiful, the boat ride was peaceful and the scooter ride around the countryside was great fun. Well worth it!

Q was a great tour guide, he made sure the group was safe, well-informed, and had fun. Ninh Binh is a wonderful place to visit and learn more about Vietnam’s history and culture. We fit many stops into one day, but I never felt rushed. Highly recommended.

5.00This was a wonderful tour. We visited Ninh Binh for a whole day tour. Tour guide Q was knowledgeable and made the tour really fun. Luxury transport too and from nunh Binh. Word of advise, while the 500 steps climb is quite daunting, view from top is amazing Highly recommended!

5.00We did this tour with our your guide Q. The tour was amazing and Q made it beyond wonderful. Really careful, funny and he truly showed us around very well taking utmost care of us. He is possibly the reason why I still would continue taking guided tours anywhere! Looking forward to sending more people I know to this tour with Q. If you have 1 day and have to choose between Ninh Binh and Ha Long, come here without thinking twice.

Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, great communication beforehand, super friendly and knowledgeable, made the whole day really fun and entertaining! 5.00Great Trip, highly recommend it! The ride to Ninh Binh takes a few hours (~2h if traffic is ok) from Hanoi, but its totally worth it! With his experience, our Guide Chris managed to mostly avoid tourist masses, brought us up the mountains and back down save, organised good food and told us lots of interesting facts about Vietnam's history! Had an awesome day :)

Throughout the day, he was attentive and sensitive to the needs of everyone in the group, showing real tact and awareness in every situation. Danny was constantly engaging, full of energy, and always present when we needed guidance, yet he also knew exactly when to give us personal space to enjoy the scenery and our own moments. That balance made the entire experience feel natural, relaxed, and exceptionally well-led. What stood out most was how genuinely he loves his job and his country. His pride and enthusiasm are infectious, and it’s clear he gives his very best in everything he does. We always felt safe and well-taken-care of with him, and he never once pushed us to spend extra money or asked for a review — which made us want to write this even more.
