However, if we depart at 6:30 AM - 6:45 AM, we can bypass this congestion and reach Ninh Binh in just 20 minutes, saving us precious time. ● Being early birds allows us to beat the crowds at the tourist sites. We can enjoy the attractions without encountering many people or waiting in long queues. This way, we can maximize our time and fully immerse ourselves in the experience. ● Starting our morning hike up to Mua cave early helps us beat the heat of the day. We can enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the area while feeling refreshed and energized. Mua Caves
After a 2-hour car journey from Hanoi, it's time for us to engage in some physical activity by ascending the magnificent natural Great Wall of Mua mountain, as well as exploring the Mua cave. This location offers the most optimal spot to admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding area. Additionally, embarking on an early hike would allow us to avoid the oppressive heat and the large crowds that gather later in the day. As the day progresses, the heat intensifies and the site becomes heavily thronged by hundreds of thousands of tourists, all due to its viral fame. If you don’t like the touristy hike, alternatively, we have a 300-step, rugged hidden gem hike at the holy and secret mountain where you could feel the serenity of nature and breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, forest, and surrounding villages.

5.00Packed tour of Ninh Binh with a nice and funny tour guide, Q! Only 7 people total in the tour. We left Hanoi early, so we got to Hoa Lu and Mua Cave when it wasn’t too busy. It was sprinkling so Q prepared rain ponchos for us! He also hiked up with us and showed us where to take pictures. The highlight definitely was the scooter/moped ride through the back streets and getting to see the rice paddies along with the mountains. Really cool experience. Lunch was provided at a home stay location and had a lot of variety with the specialty being goat! You get pretty tired during the boat ride through Tam Coc, but you get to enjoy the views! We got back to Hanoi by 6pm.

5.00A friend and I spontaneously booked a tour to Ning Binh, including a Vespa tour, directly in Hanoi with Backstreet Tours. We were picked up promptly at 6:20 a.m., which was a good idea to avoid the traffic and long queues. We traveled in a comfortable van, and all the promises were kept. Lunch was very good for a tour. The Vespa tour was a lot of fun, and we even got to drive ourselves. Many thanks to our tour guide, "Q," who led us so competently!

5.00This trip is highly recommended - we were picked up on time and traveled from Hanoi in a private van. We were six and were very comfortable. Our tour guide Hiu was incredible - very personable and kept our energy high. All of the stops were well timed, starting earlier to beat the rush and well taken care of throughout the day. Ninh Binh was beautiful despite the rain on and off throughout the day, we really had a lot of fun. 10/10 day

5.00Our travel group had a great experience with Hiu! Lunch was good, and the activities planned for us were active and insightful into Vietnamese history and culture. We particularly enjoyed the boat and scooter rides. Hiu did a great job of keeping us informed and entertained throughout the trip, and I highly recommend everyone to have him as your tour guide when in Ninh Binh!
