The animal welfare is one of our top priorities, as everyday of being on the oceans it is not a question of the boat, it is actually the crew and their behaviour towards these magnificent creatures, that is what really matters. The Bahriyeli also have Captains have the full extended licences to be able to go further than 3 miles from the harbour, which is extremely useful when the larger whales come past on their migration, or other species of dolphins, turtles and even sharks. Normally our Short finned Pilot whales is what is seen almost every single day, or our resident bottled nose dolphins. We cannot promise what you will see, but what we can promise and fully guarantee, whatever we see our Captain will not chase, harass or bother them, by respecting them you get so much back, and when a whale or dolphin of its own accord comes to the boat, its an amazing feeling and experience that you will never forget. A fully loaded whale and dolphin tour which concentrates on marine life.

What To Expect

Bahriyeli is a 23 meter 2 mast Turkish Gulet and invites you to an unforgettable experience on a two hour sail to visit Tenerife’s resident Pilot Whales and Dolphins in their own natural environment. During the sail you will be able to see the breath taking south coast of Tenerife, Mount Teide and also the chance of seeing many different species of whales and dolphins that are passing by on their migration route including Sperm Whales, Fin Whales, turtles, many different species of dolphins, Jelly Fish and marine Birds. On board our experienced crew will be able to identify and explain what you have seen on your cruise.

Very well organized, information in all desired languages, not too much and not too little. No annoying music and no moody sayings, very pleasant! Whether the large, noisy diesel has disturbed the animals less than other boats is up to question. We were very lucky and were able to observe the animals that can be expected here on the coast quite close. Overall, exactly as advertised at a reasonable price.

Great trip; lots of pilot whales seen and the different dolphins. Unfortunately the boat was very full so some people had to stand and the view was also a bit limited; often there was a queue of people in front of us so you can not always get what is to see.

Exactly what they promised. Two relaxed hours with commentary in Spanish, English, German, Italian and French. We saw Bottle Nosed Dolphins and Short Nosed Pilot Whales. No chasing the dolphins. Good value.

We could see many whales and some dolphins. They got a little closer to the boat. This boat does not chase the animals, we sailed and saw.

Our son was in Ecuador as an exchange student for 10 months and met Pablo there and has already made trips with him and vida tours. He was very impressed with all the trips (Andes, Galapagos and Amazonas) so we decided to book with Pablo parts of our stay in Ecuador. Pablo has planned not only a tour in the Amazon for us, but also a week in the Galapagos Islands. After meeting us via video chat and finding out what our wishes and ideas are for a holiday, he planned a week on the Galapagos Islands for us, which was very varied with planned excursions, sufficient breaks as well as self-organized excursions. We liked this very much and we can only recommend vida tours. Very individual and adapted to interests and holiday ideas. The guides were all very reliable, friendly and helpful and the tours we did were all really interesting and absolutely worthwhile. We also liked the fact that Pablo makes sure to choose hotels run by locals. He always asked about us and made sure everything worked out and we were fine. (even beyond our booked trips). This has also made the holiday very special, as we were always very sure that everything would work out and we could rely on it. Pablo he was a good contact when we were traveling in other parts of Ecuador after the Galapagos trip. Here he gave us good tips for bus companies as well as restaurants and also organized a trip from Cuenca to Guayaquil. We can definitely recommend a trip with Vidatours Ecuador!
