Our No Chase Policy means that we never disrupt or disturb the natural behaviours of the whales and dolphins. Instead, we offer a respectful and non-intrusive experience, allowing you to witness these incredible animals in their natural habitat. All Captains have the full high grade navigational licence which allows the Bahriyeli to go out further than 3 miles of base port, which is a real plus when the whales are further out & enabling to see the larger whales and dolphins passing on their migrational course.

What To Expect
Bahriyeli is a 23 meter 2 mast Turkish Gulet and invites you to an unforgettable experience on a two hour sail to visit Tenerife’s resident Pilot Whales and Dolphins in their own natural environment. During the sail you will be able to see the breath taking south coast of Tenerife, Mount Teide and also the chance of seeing many different species of whales and dolphins that are passing by on their migration route including Sperm Whales, Fin Whales, turtles, many different species of dolphins, Jelly Fish and marine Birds. On board our experienced crew will be able to identify and explain what you have seen on your cruise.

5.00Our experience was perfect! We see dolphins and pilot whales and didn’t have to wait long at all. The boat was large and had enough space and seating for lots of people. We did the morning trip, as this was recommended on Google as the best time to see whales in Tenerife. Our boat was two thirds packed but the trip after ours, 12pm, looked like there was a lot more people, so I assume the midday trip is the busiest time to go. For anyone wondering they serve soft drinks and beers onboard. Everything ran to schedule, so don’t be late. Not even a minute.

5.00We had the best time on this trip. We managed to spot lots of pilot whales and a few dolphins! The crew were lovely and very knowledgable. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. Very reasonably priced.

5.00Staff were brilliant, very helpful - especially the lady on the bar who helped people carry drinks between decks. We saw dolphins and pilot whales, and true to their word the boat always maintained a distance, unlike others we could see that were trying to follow pods and get as close as they could.

3.00Nothing bad happened. It was a pleasent journey and I got to see dolphins and a pilot whale. The boat was not a Bahriyeli schooner as described. The guide sound wasn't clear - muffled. No chase is relative; the animals move and they go after them - I guess it's a balance hard to reach. I don't see the connection with Sea Shepherd. Seems like a way to get ethical minded people. You get to an operator that sells multiple activities and on your date time they put you on a queue - yes their T-shirts mention the Neptune's...

5.00The journey was suuuuuuuper! We left on time and the ship was not overcrowded! The ship’s crew has explained everything about marine animals in detail in Spanish, English, German and French. I recommend bringing drinks and snacks. But there is also the possibility to get something directly on the ship. I loved the fact that the drinks were not imposed on board. Attention it's not the old pirate ship! Conclusion: it was a great sunny day and we saw several herds of dolphins as well as 5 pilot whales (several meters from the ship) and finally also fin whales. Definitely we will come back and book again. It was one of the greatest experiences. Thank you very much:)

4.00Great experience. Would definitely go again. We saw dolphins, whales and a turtle, which was amazing!! Worth the money we paid for. The length of visit was good. Maybe an hour and half on the boat. Informative crew, talked through the different types of dolphins and whales we saw. They created an energetic atmosphere. There was plenty of seating, with a small kiosk selling snacks and drinks.
Good trip but rude woman taking tickets

3.00Would of gave more had the rude lady taking tickets not completely ignored me after looking at the ticket and then letting other people through the gate. I then asked again what do I do as she didnt tell me as I had an issue with the ticket she couldn't find the number, she then shouted at us which was very rude as we wasn't in anyway rude to her.

5.00My mum and I went on this trip on the 26th of March on the 10:30 slot. We were very fortunate and were able to see bottle nose dolphins and pilot whales too! The crew were lovely. They told bits of information about the dolphins and the pilot whales and their migration. What we liked as well as whilst the boat was loving they didn’t keep filling the boat trip with lots of talking so we were able to enjoy the boat ride as well with a small bit of background music. We first saw the bottle nose dolphins within the first 10 minutes which was amazing! We then road the boat out further and that’s where we were able to see the pilot whales. They kept to their promise about not chasing after them as well. At one point they also drove the boat away as well had been close to a pod of pilot whales for a while and as they mentioned they didn’t want to be in the way. However, after moving the boat away the pilot whales came after the boat and were swimming along side. Honestly a fantastic experience 10/10 🌟
