Our No Chase Policy means that we never disrupt or disturb the natural behaviours of the whales and dolphins. Instead, we offer a respectful and non-intrusive experience, allowing you to witness these incredible animals in their natural habitat. All Captains have the full high grade navigational licence which allows the Bahriyeli to go out further than 3 miles of base port, which is a real plus when the whales are further out & enabling to see the larger whales and dolphins passing on their migrational course.

What To Expect

Bahriyeli is a 23 meter 2 mast Turkish Gulet and invites you to an unforgettable experience on a two hour sail to visit Tenerife’s resident Pilot Whales and Dolphins in their own natural environment. During the sail you will be able to see the breath taking south coast of Tenerife, Mount Teide and also the chance of seeing many different species of whales and dolphins that are passing by on their migration route including Sperm Whales, Fin Whales, turtles, many different species of dolphins, Jelly Fish and marine Birds. On board our experienced crew will be able to identify and explain what you have seen on your cruise.

Very successful trip, seeing bottlenose dolphins and short finned pilot whales. Close enough but not too close. The boat was comfortable with toilets and a bar aboard. Commentary in a variety of languages without intruding on the experience.

Fantastic boat trip, booked last minute, lady at the office said normally a 70/75% chance of seeing something but once out of the harbour area, within 20 minutes we saw numerous pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins. Boat trip was popular but not packed in like sardines, easy to find a seat. Information given out regularly and crew happy to answer questions. Some people did suffer with seasickness, we had taken tablets prior to boarding and sat on a raised area facing forward , both probably helped. We were only charged €15 each as they had a special offer, best boat trip to see whales and dolphins we gave ever been on. Will go again the next time we are in Los Cristianos

Seeing animals in their habitat is the best thing, they had respect for animals, which are the most important thing. We were lucky and we could see whales and dolphins.

The crew shows respect for the animals and keeps their distance. The animals approached the boat independently. It was really not a hunt and a wonderful experience with lots of background information in various languages.

The sea was very choppy tgat day, with yellow weather warnings for strong wind. The staff made everyone aware and offered alternatives which is really 5* customer service. The trip itself - it did make me question my choices :) but overall I cannot fault the organiser. And we saw some dolphins too!

I wanted a trip that was repectful to the wildlife and this was perfect. It was well organised and had good, informative commentary in multiple languages (but not intrusive). A very enjoyable couple of hours at a reasonable price.

We booked on the 10.30am and it didn’t disappoint. We saw plenty of dolphins and whales. The whales came close passing by the boat. The operators were as advertised “respectful” and “non-chasing”. Such an amazing experience.

We were able to observe several groups of dolphins and pilot whales (and even a turtle:) taking the time, for them as well as for us, in a calm way, without ever seeming to frighten them. The team is great, lots of info in all languages, human scale group.

Rubbish, their claimed they notice the travller they cancelled but they don't, we are 12:30 trip and wait start from 11:45 but till 1pm, we go to counter and they claim that they notice other traveller already, please go other provider.
