An amazing experience from start to finish. World class food and even more world class hosting from the fantastic Heloise. We were lucky to have Heloise as our guide, the food was exceptional with many many stops and lots of variety. The insights into the area, culture and history of Nice were also interesting and fun. Met some great people on the tour also. Thank you Heloise... we did this as our first experience in Nice and it will take some beating as was 5* in every way. Even my 14 year old enjoyed it :-)

Sara was very nice but seemed disorganized. Maybe it was the size of the group (11). Our group got separated on a few occasions and she didn’t seem to be aware. There were some older people in the group and they had difficulty keeping up with her. She also spoke softly and was difficult to hear in the busy streets of old town. We also looped back and forth a lot in the old town which was not ideal in the very high heat. Overall most of the food was pretty good and the tour ended with a beautiful sunset.

I love taking food tours because aside from eating great food you can learn so much about the history and culture of a people through their food. This food tour was amazing and our tour guide Sara made it especially phenominal. She had this wonderful way of weaving in the history and culture of Nice as she guided us from place to place through narrow cobble stoned streets trying delicious foods and treats. She was wonderfully attentative. I had 3 children of varrying ages with us ( 13, 10,8) and she engaged them beautifully. My youngest at one point said to me " I really like Ms. Sara, she is really nice to me." That really struck me that my kid made a point to mention that. It means she really connected with her. Sara's attention to detail is also what made this tour feel seamless and easy. She seemed to know ahead of time that we would likely have things to carry and she brought bags with her, helping us carry our Pan Bagnat that we couldn't finish or the little things we bought at the Olio Donatos. I felt bad at one point and tried to take a bag from her and she said to me "You carry things all year long. Now you are on vacation, so relax and let me carry this for you." Another thing she did that I loved was the day before the tour she sent us a message asking for any allergies. I mentioned my husband couldn't have dairy or shellfish but I told her she didn't have to go out of her way to adjust and that he would just roll with it. (He is not into food the way I am and he indulges me on these tours) but she told me not to worry she would make sure he was considered and she made a point to ensure that he always had something he could try at each stop. Needless to say he loved this tour. The food in Nice is so different from the food in Paris. There is alot more emphasis on fresh vegetables and olive oil over butter. I love food in Paris too don't get me wrong but it was so interesting to see the differences in cuisines from North to South. Some of our favorites (and honestly It was all good) in Nice were the Pan Bagnat and the Socca. We also fell in love with this little Father and Son Ice cream stop that Sara took us to called Papilla. Their flavors are so amazing and they make the icecream from scratch with fresh ingredients and you can tell. We returned back to it so many times that the son started to recognize us. Overall if your on the fence about taking this tour DO IT!! and ask for Sara. Seriously I cannot say enough how wonderful she is. The food options in Old Town are overwhelming and it was nice to know where to go to get really good authentic food and avoid any tourist traps. After the tour Sara sent us all a list of places she reccomended we try and we visited a few and all very worth it.

This is a great way to explore Nice and eat a lot of delicious local specialties. Leo was an excellent guide, sharing interesting stories about his hometown and showing us hidden streets. There was so. Much. Food. Totally worth it.
